Not a big baseball guy but Boston sports fans pay attention even if they don't care, kinda funny story in beantown.
Tonight's game was rained out, usually gets rained out round these parts this time of year get rescheduled later when you should have good weather. Nope, double header tomorrow first game at 1:00 (I don't sleep, it's 2:01am and still raining pretty hard).
Why are they trying to force it in? The rained out game was Pedroia bobble head night everyone in attendance gets one.... They have 40,000 bobble head dolls that they need to make go away, advertised to be given away for this specific game... Whether the 1:00 game gets played or not, I guarantee they don't call it off before filing the park and getting rid of the dolls.

I'll admit that I never thought Jose Abreu would be this good. Wow...

Quite a big trade between Athletics and Cubs: Oakland gets Samardzija, Hammel for a handful of prospects...

Not a bad ending to the first half, although I've been so busy lately I haven't been keeping up well with the rest of the MLB.
I'm on pace to go to about 15 games this year, thanks to some perks of my job. Headed to Pittsburgh at the end of August for my annual group baseball trip.

No comments in yesterday's crazy game between the A's and Royals?
Although, I honestly did not see this coming to Oakland. With the additions to the team and how they started the season, I had them as one of the favorites. Poor Billy Beane.

Yeah, definitely cheering for the Royals. I mean, doesn't really matter to me which team wins...but, if I had to choose one, it'd be KC.

Went to the game last night and it was amazing! I've never seen the K that packed and that loud. Really cool experience for all the long time Royals fans that have been suffering through terrible seasons for the last 29 years.
