Damn I love the Postseason!!
Does Sam's Club sell "Tums" by the case? If so I think I need to stock up on them. Dodgers didn't win this one as much as the Phils lost it. Both starters were great but Manuel pulled Martinez too early, Utley's error, bullpen problems, etc... Hopefully we leave the 8th inning mess in Cali and take a 2-1 lead behind Lee tomorrow night.

Its going to be another miserable night in the Bronx, weather-wise. At game time its going to be mid-40s with a 20% chance of rain. Rain is in the forecast though, and with the new rules, if the game starts they have to finish it. No rain outs.

It will be an interesting night, and I just hope the game is over before I have to go to work.

Although if the Yankees were real winners, they would have already finished the game. They are just skating by on luck now.

What a game eh? I can't decide who I want to win. On one hand, it would be nice to have the Dodgers go against the Angels (I'm a huge Dodger fan, so I hope they take the Phillies). On the other, Yankees vs Dodgers? That would be AWESOME. Not only because I live in NY now and it would be great flaunting the Dodgers out here like I have been, but now against the Yanks. But have Torre take on the Yanks as well? I just can't possibly ROOT for the Yanks, it's against my religion ... Dodger religion that is

As much as I would love to see a Freeway Series World Series between the Dodgers and the Angels, a Yanks/Dodger series would be, for lack of a better word, epic! Combined with the Series history between the two teams, Manny and Torre going back to New York for a World Series, this series would be an instant classic which would create a media frenzy; and I hope it really happens. However, with the way these games are going who knows who the final two teams will be, great Postseason!

Im sooooooooooo pissed off. I had to leave for work around midnight, right after Figgins doubled in the go-ahead run. I get down the block and my sister sends me a text saying "Tied, I love A-Rod".

ESPN radio was too damn staticy I couldnt hear shit either. Im happy they won, but we need to start playing alittle harder. The Angels arent going to screw up forever, they will eventually start playing correctly.

Ill be happy to leave LA with 1 win out there. I dont want to go back to NY down 3-2.

What a game! It was like the Detroit Minnesota season, no one seemed to want to win.

I am really glad we are going to Anaheim up 2.

The Rangers won too so a great night for N.Y. sports.

WTF is with Burnett? Always 1 bad inning or 1 bad pitch or 1 bad batter with him. The Yankees should have won 2-1 in 9.
2 out, 2 strike count & he throws a ball in the dirt hoping it's chased? Challenge that batter with your best fastball.

Agreed, but I blame Girardi for the second run. Burnett is good or bad, once he gets bad he generally stays bad. I don't understand why managers stay with starters once they loose it.

We got lucky it was not much worse.

WOW!!

That was a good ol'fashion ass whipping if you ask me.

Once the first inning was over I knew this was going to be a tough game to watch.

Kudos to Cliff Lee, he did a superb job on the mound tonight, can't score if you can't hit.

Good day to be a Phils fan, BAD day to be a Dodger fan.

It ain't over yet though.

I'm 29.

Trust me I'm f**king pissed and my post probably would have been a little less gracious if we were out of contention, but its only one game in seven game series so it ain't over yet. I don't mind giving credit where credit is due, I'm definitely never a sore loser, even when my team gets rocked. Being a Dodger and 49er fan you learn this trait well . Plus I know the Dodgers are better than that, so no worries. Baseball is just a game and its supposed to fun to watch and getting all stressed out isn't worth it to me. Sports to me is a stress reliever not a stress inducer. Yeah its more fun when your team wins but when they lose, you just have to move on and get ready for the next game.

Wow, that was a tough pill to swallow. I'm pretty sure the weather has a tad bit to do with it, but they clearly stunk it up big time. Good thing tomorrow will be in the 50s and Wednesday's game will be in the 60s. Like madcaps said, it's just 1 of 7. We'll take care of business like we normally do .

I went to the Jets/Broncos game today, and froze my nuts to my seat. My first NFL game ever, and it was a shit ton of fun, especially being right at the 50 yd line .

After last night's massacre (finally a game I could breathe easy) the Phils can smell blood. Starting to see this series as a repeat of last years World Series. Phils split in LA then come home and sweep. It's looking like an I-95 championship!

Great game!! Good to see the Angels finally get one (I hate the Yanks enough to say that ).

Abreu is probably thanking his lucky stars that his bad baserunning skills had no effect on the game, what a horrible decision that was.

Now the Blue need to do something, JEEBUS!!

Well... Girardi, Posada, and Petite meet on the mound... Guerrero can't hit curves/sliders away and can't catch up to high fastballs, so they decide to lay a low fastball inside. Poor decision #1.

Bring in Joba. Poor decision #2.

Bring in Aceves. Poor decision #3.

And we pinch run Gardner/Guzman in the last 2 games, yet don't have them steal on the 1st pitch.

Mike Scioscia was the better manager tonight.

Very annoying game.

Yankees got away with more mistakes than any team deserves, hard to believe they only lost by 1.
