The worst was Wilson's hit that landed him in the sin bin and obviously, Marchand's stupidity.
There have been some questionable high hits throughout the playoffs from all squads playing. But, that's expected when the forecheck is amped up 1000%.
I do agree that the Bolts are not the same team that steamrolled the Bruins. But, then again, the Caps seem to believe in themselves after finally getting over the hump of the Pens...similar to the Preds last year when they finally ousted (and dominantly) the Hawks after years of being sloppy seconds in the playoffs.

Yeah, sadly his issues with that skin allergy are pretty darn serious. He'll join the Hawks in some capacity I believe once his contract ends. Class act...will seriously miss watching him play as his 2-way abilities were just marvelous.

Yeah, I can understand complete absolute hatred but c'mon man, the Caps aren't that dirty...Wilson plays physically and at times goes stupid but he's been pretty clean in the series so far against the Bolts. The hitting is on par with a typical NHL playoff series. Nothing stands out as getting away with murder IMO.
Not saying he's cured of his braincramps because they have another game to go but it's been a very evenly matched series between TBay and DC. I still have the Bolts taking it tonight because they are the better/deeper team on paper...but, would it shock me if DC finally overcame their Game 7 demons?
They did exorcise some of their problems with ousting the Pens...so, maybe it's their year. Like, hory shet, an EXPANSION TEAM is in the Final...how effed up is it already? It's already a weird year.

I dunno... at least from what I've watched, the Caps seem to outplay the Bolts... they outshoot them like crazy. If anything, the Bolts seem to get better quality shots, but, they shoot much less... meaning they likely don't even have the puck as much as the Caps. The Caps seem more physical at times, and yes, there have been dirty plays here and there, but as Yumcha suggested- it seems to be a standard series. Bolts aren't completely innocent either in that respect. Playoffs are intended to get sloppy. The refs don't magically start missing calls, time after time. They let things go to keep the fans going.

Not bitter at all, just hate dirty play, and after 2 deliberate headshots that weren't penalized and a dozen others that were thankfully less effective, I just hate seeing this team continuing it against any other team. I said repeatedly, I have no sour grapes about the Pens losing, especially after the success the last 2 years, but I don't respect dirty play
