Seriously, WTFBBQ is deeply wrong with that franchise. Only the Oilers...ONLY the Oilers in the NHL can draft arguably one of the best players ever and if not, the second Sid and end up being . STILL.

Well, dunno what to tell ya, dude. I feel bad for the fans of Edmonton such as you although, frankly, you guys got THE greatest team ever with Gretz, Mess, Curry, Fure, et al...you guys are spoiled. This has to be the "karma" for having such a spectacular team. Something I think won't ever happen again.
But, to have McDavid who still is breath-taking everytime he has the puck, and to see the Oil record, something is freaking wrong. And don't tell me it is the goalie. Because, ask anyone except Moog and they'll tell you that namebrand goalies don't grow on trees and so, it's not Tal-butt's fault that Edmonton stinks. Almost all teams build their systems and play AROUND defense to ensure the goalie is not made to be the second coming of Sawchuk or Hall (not Taylor).
The goal tending has been pretty bad at times. Talbot was letting in goals he shouldn't have, and he definitely cost us a few games. But, I agree, it isn't just him. It's everyone. Not enough players are scoring. Not enough players are stopping goals from happening. Hell, even
our top line does some seriously dumb shit once in awhile, but since mcjesus is on that line, no one really calls them out. Sigh.

Yeah, because they actually play like they give a shit. I know a particular blue and orange team (not the islanders ) that go out on the ice every time, and sit back and relax while they get steam rolled by the opposition.
Ok, that's not totally true... but they've had enough games where they showed zero desire to be out on the ice. Sigh. If anything, the knights just battle every night they can. They go out there with an intention to win. I wonder if it'll catch up to them by the time the playoffs roll around... I wonder if they'll burn out by then. I mean, on paper, they shouldn't be anywhere near this good.

Even with Hank being superhuman it easily could have been 6-2. There were at least 4 times they an had open net and hit the crossbar or post.
