Was a good game by the French. I see them going through easy. I just hope Sweden can come back and beat England, for my bracket's sake lol.

Czechs win the group!

Who on earth would have thought before today that both Greece and Czech Republic would have advanced?! How the fk did Russia not score even one goal vs Greece?!?!

Well, I'm ecstatic, and thankfully we most probably don't have to play Germany in the 2nd round. As long as Netherlands doesn't advance and get 2nd, I think the Czechs actually have a shot next round.

Wow great games today! Best day of games so far.

It still is hard to believe that Netherlands lost all 3 games! (sorry fiftyfive lol) Ronaldo and Nani and the forwards put on a clinic vs the slow, bad Dutch defenders.

So... I think Germany will handle Greece just fine. And Czech Rep vs Portugal

Awesome goal by Ibra. France have their hands full vs Spain.

I don't think England played well at all. They scraped through. And Ukraine did score that one goal, everyone including the English announcers and gamecast commentators agreed it was a clear goal. I feel kinda sorry for them. England also have a tough task vs Italy.

So imo it looks as if the semifinals will consist of both group B teams and both group C teams Although I do hope the Czechs can pull off something amazing and beat Portugal

Indeed. Even a lot of his club goals are top notch

I'm tuning out of all sports sites and stuff once the Czech/Portugal game comes on so I can watch it in full when I get home. It's a very touch task but nothing is certain in these competitions. Go Czechs!

The fun part will be watching Baros vs. Postiga. Who will play worse if that is even possible?

so true. Baros is such a pos. What does he do?!?! If anything, free space up for other Czech players. He also leads the Euros with most fouls commited .

Ok, I'm signing off til I watch the game when I get home tonight.

I think the Czechs really missed Rosicky today. Cech made some good saves but it wasn't enough I guess. oh, Coentrao was a beast.

Yea. They were the better team for the first 20 minutes but then Portugal took over, and they look really good. Oh well. It will be a good game whether they play Spain or France.

Same. I think it will be a good, close game but I hope Portugal beat them, and I think they can with their solid defense and fast pace. I think Germany will destroy whomever they play whether it is England of Italy (and that last quarterfinal game will be a snoozer).

Wow. Who saw that coming? Germany had plenty of chances but just couldn't put them in the net.

Balotelli with 2 great finishes. That second one reminded me of Miereles' champs league goal vs Benfica. Great finish - obviously still needs to mature though. Italy should have had 2 or 3 more.

So... Spain vs Italy. I'm sure Spain will be the favorite again but I expect a close game. Italy's defense has been great.

Well here we are. I expect a more open game because I expect the Italians won't be sitting back and playing defense like all other teams vs Spain. They are not afraid of them.

I don't like either team. I hope to see like a total of 10 goals, 7 red cards, pk shootout

Man City in the group of death two years running! Man U always gets into easy groups. Watch them fail to advance again though

and Bayern Munich signed Javi Martinez for 40+M? I didn't know he was THAT good..

It looks like Chelsea didn't give a fuck about the game. So lazy, bad defense. But on the other side of that I have to admit Atletico is a good attacking team and props to Falcao

Now all the idiots in England can shut up about how Ibra isn't as good as Rooney or that he still needs to prove himself out of SerieA

Anyone catch or watch the hightlights form the ManU/Real game?

I'm sick of everyone complaining about the straight red. Yes, it could have been a yellow, but he should be aware of his surroundings and he De Jong'ed the dude. I'm just fine with the red card. And I don't like ManU either.

Wow, people still do visit this thread!

And yea, they should have had one penalty. But Chicharito needs to quit diving like a little Italian bitch. I will gladly take the point.

thats probably what sparked the no-call... if you dive everytime somebody touches you, eventually, you're going to really get fouled, and they will let it slide.

his own fault.

I too, will take that point.
