I really never paid attention to this issue while attending games.

The title of this topic is "College Football: 2011 Season News and Discussion Thread". As far as I can see, this is 100% related to the title of the thread. If this, one of the biggest stories in college football, is not considered part of "2011 Season News" or "2011 Season Discussion"... then I don't know what is

Possible in South Carolina football. The night after USCe kicked a fifth year QB off the team, Stephen Garcia, the coach's house had a dozen eggs thrown at it. Cops knew immediately it was Garcia because only 5 eggs hit the coach's house and the other 7 hit the neighbor's house for interceptions.

GODDAMN! We rape and pillage everyone in our division, including Georgia, and we still may not make it to the SEC Championship game.
Of course if USCe makes it, we don't have enough firepower to beat the SEC West champion in Atlanta.

Looks like LSU and the Oklahoma State Cowboys have the inside track to the NC game.
Oooh, but what if???? Either Arky or the SEC east teams makes LSU a one lost team. What if OSU slips up.
What a damn mess with some good 1 loss teams. Personally, a 1 loss SEC is in the NC game. Sorry Houston with the perfect season. I'd also prefer to see the Oregon Ducks, due to their high powered offense and what they did to Stanford, than any other 1 loss team.

With all of the news that is going to come in on a daily basis about Penn State it just made more sense to break it out to its own topic. Even though this is the 2011 Season News and Discussion thread, and the Penn State scandal is likely the biggest college football story of 2011, it will (and already has) taken on a life of its own, so it makes sense to separate it so this one could stay somewhat "general".
All current and future discussion about Penn State's football program and the scandal and information can go into the topic linked above. Thanks

Oh man, just saw that Ok State lost.
Still too many games left to make any predictions, but if I come home to LSU / Alabama in title game, there better be some freakin' touchdowns scored.

What's wrong with 17 - 10 or 24 - 14? That won't happen with LSU / Alabama rematch
Oregon - LSU/Alabama, I think, provides what would be the most watchable championship game of all the possibilities out there.

The BCS selection is a mess, and the SEC championship is a mess and needs fixing.
For the SEC CG, the participants should be decided on: 1st (record in division), 2nd if tied (overall record in SEC), and 3rd if still tied (BSC ranking).
I could have never imagined that USCe could beat everyone in the East Division (including Jawja), ranked ahead of Jawja, and cheated out of our final second of the Auburn loss with the tying kick on the line and not go to the SEC CG.
The only silver lining is that the West Champ should, could, and will kick any teams butts out of the East.
