BYU Player dismissed for having sex

BYU basketball player Brandon Davies dismissed from team for having sex with his girlfriend because it violates the schools honor code.

Why go to a school with such a code? That code violates the college experience code?

I think the code is really fucking stupid. But if you go to a Mormon school you kind of know what you are getting into...so either deal with the dumb ass shit Mormon's implement or go to a different school.

He signed on for the Honor Code.

He broke the Honor Code.....he pays the penalty. Pretty simple.

Nobody put a gun to his head to go to BYU.
He got some coin for education and a chance to play some ball.
The Honor Code was part of the deal.....in which he accepted.

He could have gone to another school, but chose BYU.
It was his choice. He broke the rules and knew what would happen if he did.

This is much ado about nothing.

The fact that he was being honest about sex and knows he could get kicked out and did, thats truely amazing that why have such honest good people out there.

Or he was like, " Yo i got to lose my viginity now, I am such a loser for being a virgin at this age" . lol

From what I understand, he was already a Mormon before ever setting foot on BYU. These rules were nothing new to him, they are just part of the Mormon lifestyle.

Strangely I'd feel more sympathy for him if he wasn't a Mormon and there was some other reason he felt the need to go to a Mormon school.

He's a Mormon and raised in Utah, so this isn't really an issue.

This is a completely untrue statement and I'd highly suggest you get up on your facts before you spew out ignorance like this.

I just disagree with the code itself. IMO some of it is way over the top.

That may or may not be the case, but every single applicant has to read and sign a copy of the code at they time they apply for admission. Everyone knows the rules and the consequences of the rules.

Could be. Pretty sure they gave up a No. 1 seed when they suspended Davies; probably gave up any chance at a deep run in the tournament at the same time.
