Blue Jays on PPV
http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/Toront...24/393547.html
17 regular season Blue Jays games are not being telivised this season. So the team has decided that it will offer a few of the games on Rogers (Big Surprise since he owns the team) PPV.
Now here's what I'm wondering. Who in the hell would pay to watch a Toronto Blue Jay Regular season game?
I will honestly be surprised if even a single person pays for a game, I'm serious, why the hell would you pay to watch a regular season game? Especially when 145 of them will be on free cable.
These are not the Yankees or Red Sox we're talking about.
I mean offering Leaf regular season games on PPV I can see working because god forbid some die hard leaf fan misses a game, but the Blue Jays?? I'm stumped here.

Lets say I'm home on a Saturday afternoon and there's a hurricane outside so I can't leave the house. Now imagine the only part of my body that works is my hand to control the remote. So I can't move and the Hurricane has knocked out every channel but the one showing the Blue Jays on PPV. I'd rather bash my head with the remote for 3 hours that pay to watch that game.
Under no circumstances would I order that game. If I'm paying to watch a Blue Jay game (Cold day in hell before that happens) I'd go down and buy a ticket, at least I could eat hotdogs @ $5.95 each.

Same here. I used to be able to name every player on the roster but after the strike I totally lost interest. I actually wish they had never come back.

I would never pay to watch baseball on PPV. I used to be a huge Jays fan when I was a teenager but now baseball is too boring for me to watch.
The only sport I'll pay to watch on TV is NFL football. Now if only if they had NFL Sunday Ticket in HDTV

i think the only people who would pay are probably sports bars so they can show the game. I would rather do somethign else than watch baseball on TV, let alone pay to watch it on TV.
Heck, i only goto live games when i get free tickets from work. It's a good time killer going to a baseball game though, but no way i'm paying for it.

When I was younger I used to be addicted to baseball, but now its just a guy throws a pitch, five minutes until he decides what pitch he wants, a homer is scored, the coach decides to make a pitching change and 75 minuts is spent showing the reliever warm up. its like the curling of summer. Not only that but the New York Wankees just buy out the best players. Lastly, baseball is a sport where you score in turns, in Hockey, Basketball, Football, Lacrosse, etc. you can score at any time. Leads of 4 points can be crushed with one bad pitch. That being said, I'd still go to a live game (if the seats were good enough and cheap). THe 2 buck seats only apply to th "bring your own telescopes" section right?
I prefer Lacrosse (cuz the Rock Rock!
) an Hockey. Football too. Much more fast pace.
