Have anyone heard about European basketball league want to buy NBA stars since the weak US dollars? They were offering Kobe 50 Million to play in the European..other NBA stars like Lebron are on the list..

who would be crazy to turn down a 50 million pay?!! Kobe gets 22 million, thats a 110% pay raise.

There are only 2 types of players that'll go to Europe.

-marginal NBA'ers who will get more money in Europe.. Childress, Defino, Boykins

and superstars with an international presence.... Lebron, Kobe

for the rest it just doesn't make sense with the endorsements and others.

for 50 mill a year, i'd go play for 2 years and enjoy some euro chicks. then i'd come back

i dont think anyone offered them 50 million... someone asked kobe/lebron what would it take to get them to play overseas and they said 50 million

it certainly makes sense, financially.

while the nba is still the best league in the world, the leagues across europe are top notch and competitive. and if they're able to compete financially too, then that's a huge incentive for nba players. we're also seeing more and more foreign players go back to europe as well.

yeah they were asked or something...there was speculation that a team from europe could possibly throw about 50mill at lebron...when it got back to him, he said he would jump on it for about a year to make the $ and go back to the NBA...he sees it as a good move since he wants to be more popular around the world and become a billionaire.. kobe said hed do the same thing but hed play for italy or milan or something like...read this awhile back...a wk or 2 ago so i may be off with some of the info.....
IMO, if you r on a marginal team and will not go to the finals..go to europe make some extra cash...from what ive seen all of these contracts these ex-NBA'ers are gettin have a opt out clause after every season...so make $ go back to NBA
