I hope I had a couple backers on that ATL game, and my post didn’t go to waste. Congrats to everyone who took ATL and won BIG!

Nugs, I am glad you had a change of mind, and relieved you had some action on the game and didn’t pass up!!! Good choice bro!

That game was scary as shit at the end, 4th and 10, PHI didn’t get it, but the coach called timeout before the play started. I was like OMG, they gonna screw me in the ass again with this BS! Oh wells, we got the win and I’m up BIG so far in season play

Should we start a week 2/3 thread or keep this one going?!?

anywayz.. onto week 3 CFB...
I'm following 1 game very closely.. and that's Oklahoma/UCLA. Right now OU is 6.5 underdogs, which I think is way too high.. While OU has been horrible the first 2 games.. I think they're starting to find their groove... especially Peterson, who should run wild versus a suspect UCLA run defense. Stoops is something like 8-2 ATS as a dog..

I will probably make OU my largest play of the year so far.. (either 4-5 units) and a little on the ML... I'll see how things play out though..

anyone have any other games they're looking at early?!?

Maybe we should start a new thread.

On paper OU looks like a solid play, the only thing that scares me is that OU has no passing game what so ever. Starter Paul Thompson had a little over 100 yds passing in their loss to TCU and last week they switched QB's to the red shirt frosh Bomar who only threw 42 yds vs Tulsa. 42!! yeah they won but it didn't impress me. While watching them last week I told my self I will prob. start fading the sooners the next few games until they acutally turn it around. UCLA took care of busniess the last 2 weeks putting their opp. away un like OU. UCLA also returning 8 starters on D. What will OU do when UCLA forces the QB to beat them? Line is that high for a reason.

Peterson was suspended from Practice on Monday and tue for missing classes. He will be eligible to play but will he start???? i'm sure he will. I like UCLA in this spot. But then again you rolled and I got rolled last week in NCAA. I hope i don't jinx myself again posting plays. I'll give it another go this weekend.

Other games I like at first glance

Cuse +9.5 in the dome
VT -33.5 they will show Pitt how much they suck.
Neb -10.5 Fuck you Pitt! I want my money back and you can't stop the run.
Louisville -13.5
FSU -1

I just like OU in this spot.. how often in the past few years have we been talking about OU as a dog to UCLA... the talent is still there.. just may need a few games to get going

UCLA's strength is their offense, but despite their problems OU's defence has been solid.

I'll continue to monitor this line.. i suspect it will drop...

hmm.. Nugz.. lean towards BC and Pitt.. but i'll wait and see..

I'll start the new week thread

I guess I shall chime in on this OU/UCLA match. UCLA is a better team then last year, the offense with Olson looks pretty good, and they have a great RB. However their defense could a bit suspect, since they did give SD St. & Rice 21 point each. And I’m not sure if these 2 teams can get UCLA geared up for a huge match against OU. Oklahoma on the other hand finally looks mortal to me. After about 3 or 4 years on top of the world, OU look like a team with kryptonite on their ass! After back to back lost (USC, TCU), I think it has taken a lot of confidence out of a very talented OU team. The Tulsa match was supposed to be the “feel good” game, to pick everyone back up. But what I saw wasn’t to impressive, hell the game was close at 17-15, until OU blow up apart with an INT return. I know UCLA has a good wining percentage at home in the Rose Bowl, and they will be pumped for this game. I don’t see OU offense scoring anything more then 10 to 14 points. And the main focus is to stop Peterson, and if they do, OU will look like very ugly on offense. In my opinion, UCLA -6 is a good bet, specially with a lot of people still backing OU.

Ha, ha! For $3.99 a minute, I'll give you the best picks of the week. Call the Professor; I am 138 and 1 for the season...

O.K. SC will win outright by 9 points. Only the gas prices are more fixed than football.

Usatoday has Atlanta getting 3 points at Seattle. Barring Vick getting diagnosed with Leprecy this one is making it into my parlay.

^^^Seattle is the play. Vick and company coming off a huge WIN at home vs the Eagles have to travel to Seattle. Public is pounding ATL at 80+% the right play is Seattle at a PK. Seattle is pretty solid at home. I will pass on this game since I will e rooting for ATL.

GL

Parlays are sucker bets, how many people lost their parlays or survivor contest last week picking Carolina, Minny, or STL TONS!

I dont bet online, i just do parlay's through a bookie, its the only bets he takes. 4 games up to 10 games. I only do 4 games. I hit mine last week.

Clemson, Texas, Va. Tech and the Bengals all covered. (clem/tex were even spreads)

Its mostly for entertainment purposes, im not going to have my legs broken because of Trent Dilfer.

Hey guys, any comments or early action taken on the early THUR/FRI games?

UT AT TCU

or

HOUSTON at UTEP

UT -3.5, i think i am going with them. I guess i over est. how good TCU was, with them bombing at SMU. I guess either OU is really that shitty, or TCU wasn't really that good either. UT however has proven that even with out their head coach and qb, they are still a very soild team.

I really like Houston +13.5 or 14. UTEP has improved a lot, but i don't think they are 2 td better then a pretty decent houston team. If Houston can keep up with a very fast PAC-10 team like OR, then they are going to give UTEP a run for their money. isn't UTEP and HOU pretty much next door neighbors? So interstate play is always tough.

So no action tonight bro? I was waiting for your opinion on the game, since your the HOT SHOT picker. I was leaning toward UT, but i am not totally sure either. I might just play 1/2 unit or something.

How about UTEP vs HOUSTON? i have a very good feeling about HOUSTON....

Tough game tonight. The weather might play a roll with the rain total has moved down a few pts. I can't pick a side it will prob. come down to what my local gives me +3.5-4 I'll take TCU -3 or lower I'm on Utah. i do like the over and may play that instead.

I also like UTEP tomm. Looking to turn things around this week.

So far I've played
Ky +3
South Carolina +2
Toledo -28

Liked Cuse at home but i waited too long line now down to +7 or +7.5. Should have tagged them at +10.

GL to ALL

Nugs: hell yeah bro, GL this week, took a beating last week.

liked Orangeman +7.5??? WHY on earth?

Why are you so hyped about thos orangemen? They sux nuts! Their QB is dreadful, with no offense movment. I understand playing at the "Dome" is tough, but Virginia has a offense with Hagans that can actually move the ball down the field. The orangemen beat buffalo, hell who hasn't? Didn't Buffalo have a 23 game losing streak or something? Please explain why you think SY +7.5 is a soild bet, because i don't see it.

Weather update for Thurs. NCAAF from a local

Just wanted to let you guys know that it has been raining all day with heavy thunderstorms and wind gusts up to 30mph here in the DFW area. The forecast calls for Severe Scattered Thunderstorms throughtout the night with 10-25mph wind gusts. I thought this info might be helpful in tonight's matchup.

I'm playing the under 50.5 for 1 unit

I'm from the midwest. Funny you asked about ND. I absolutely can not stand them. It's been hell for me putting up with my buddies who are ND fans the past 2 weeks. I will never bet on them. I'm hoping for a let down. The road team has won and covered last four meetings. All have been decided by 7 points or less. Should be a shhotout decided in the 4th. Hoping the Spartans win straight up. Pitt....I'm still pissed at them, that line is way too high....Pitt + pts looks too easy right? Mich -too much chalk only big chalk I'm laying this weekend will be Toledo and maybe VT (my Team)

Why Cuse????
SYR is still 39-11 ATS in the dome L50. if for some odd reason my local gives me 8+ I'll be all over them.

I would, but I gotta got out to dinner. Just letting her ride and checking the score later tonight. Go to SAS for second half questions, I'm sure they will have no problems helping. BOL

Im looking for ND to cover by 3.5, predicting a 10 pt. win. Too much focus on State beating them. I think if it were the other way around and ND was getting around 10 pts, the hype may be more of a distraction. The crowd is going to be berzerk in South Bend. There is a little wishfull thinking in that prediction

On a side note, here is what i turned in for the weekend.

Kentucky +3
Maryland -4
Wisc -3
BC -1

Detroit -3
NE -3
St. Louis (e)
San Diego (which is German for a whales vagina) +3
