Bolt = 19.30 in the 200 New World record!

And he just turned 22 today. He should be in even better form in 2012.

I'll be the first to say it: He's on drugs.

Sorry, just can't look at T&F athletes the same way anymore.

Somebody plese sign Bolt up for the NFL the guy is 6'5 and probably runs a 4 flat 40 with his size and speed he would be unstopabale at WR.

He would not be the first world-class sprinter who tried to become a receiver.

Running speed does not equate to toughness on the field or catching ability...Also, how much does pads and equipment slow him down? Hard call...I doubt it'll work though. But, that's just me.

Normally I would agree with you but the guy is so tall and fast he would be a great deep threat. Just trhrow the ball deep and watch him go get it. I'm sure the guy can jump as well him being 6'5 he'd be a nightmare for DBs.

All you'd have to do is jam him at the line and he wouldn't be able to go deep. Unless he had actual moves to dodge the DB then his straightline speed wouldn't do that much in the NFL.

Fair point but this guy doesn't look like the type that would be easy to jam he's huge much bigger than any DB 6'5 especially a CB. BTW you wouldn't play press coverage with him you would see guys playing 10 or more yards off of him playing press would be suicide.

Well either way he'd still have to catch the ball.

Pretty sure he'll be too busy breaking 100m and 200m records for the next few years so its really a moot point.

idk how thats possible, i thought MJ's record would be safe until atleast 2012. The doping standards are so tight these days idk how he would be on anything, and he wears that "Test Me" bracelet trying to promote he's clean. I'm still in disbelief.

and yes Lolo is quite hawt.

can't believe nobody's posted this (or maybe nobody cares)...

but the USA women's softball team lost to japan in the gold medal game!

we've already beaten them twice in this olympics with a total score of 11-1, and what a horrible way to have your final olympics game for who knows how long.

ironic since the USA team's dominance is the reason they're getting rid of the sport.

Just read about this. Sucks. They were pummeling everybody and then lose like this.

It was only a matter of time.....

International Olympic Committee launches probe into He Kexin's age

The International Olympic Committee has ordered an investigation into mounting allegations that Chinese authorities covered up the true age of their gold-medal winning gymnastics star because she was too young to compete.

An IOC official told The Times that because of "discrepancies" that have come to light about the age of He Kexin, the host nation’s darling who won gold in both team and individual events, an official inquiry has been launched that could result in the gymnast being stripped of her medals.

only problem i see with that is that they gave alot of time for the chinese to fake even more documents and cover up their tracks

i just watched Henry Cejudo of the US get gold in the 55kg weight class in wrestling, supposedly its the first time the US has gotten gold in wrestling since 1904 or something like that (at least thats what they said on TV)

so if she is stripped of her medals, would that mean that China would be stripped of their team medal as well?

Thank god the IOC FINALLY got off their asses and are addressing the issue...since it didnt just go away like they were hoping

though I suspect this will the official results of the investigation

i would assume they would just make her scores null and void, so whatever china scored without her scores is where they will place?

obviously they wont have gold anymore, i think.

I would assume it would be the same in a relay. If one participant is ineligible or disqualified then the whole team loses the medal.

I think the investigation will look at previous events records going as far back as possible, so there may be little access for the Chinese government to tamper with anything.
