Anyone see Lebron sky in last nights game?
domn, who didn't realize Lebron had the high flying ability since he barely dispalyed it last season.
One thing is for certain, Lebron is for real, he can do it all.

If you've watched his McDonald's All American dunk contest performance, you knew this kid had the physical attributes to take him really far.
Now it seems that he also has the work ethic and competitive spirit to match.

Although Melo > Bosh right now, I can't see Melo doing much career wise. He's a good offensive talent but his defense is lacking. Bosh will be more well rounded by the time their both in their prime. He has a greater upside.
The worse thing for Darko was ending up in Detroit. He needs to play on a loser so he can at least see the floor.

Blazers GM denies trade talks
TSN.ca Staff
11/19/2004
Portland Trail Blazers general manager John Nash denied reports that his team and the Toronto Raptors have a deal on the table, telling local newspaper The Oregonian on Friday that there are no immediate changes on the way.
"I don't have an offer. From anybody," Nash told the newspaper.
On Thursday, a Portland radio station reported that the Raptors made the Blazers an offer that would send Vince Carter and Jalen Rose to Portland for Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Derek Anderson.
Nash told the newspaper that several Blazers haven't performed to the level they have over the course of their career, but since it is only seven games into the season, there is no need to start scouring the market.
"In talking about Shareef, people are making the wrong assessment," Nash said. "Shareef has been one of the few bright spots. He is shooting over 50 percent, and his defense has been terrific. Shareef as I look at it, is not the problem, he might be the solution. So overall, people might identify Shareef as a piece that can be traded... but I don't know that our goal shouldn't be to trade one of our other players instead of Shareef."

Yes, Bosh does have the potential to turn out to be a great player. He looks like he's willing to work hard for it, and just needs the right environment... okay, so the first thing to do would be to get rid of VC...
Darko, I believe, is the product of all hype and no real solid scouting. We have one here in Denver, Skitisvili... man, this guy was suppose to be the great euro small forward... instead, he's the great waste of a first round pick that sits on the bench.

Plus, VC only plays half a season a year... and with the limited minutes he's getting, I'm sure his productivity this year will be the same as one of his half-seasons.

The time to deal Carter, according to fan reaction last night at the Air Canada Centre, has indeed arrived. The 27-year-old swingman, a five-time all-star and the most famous player to wear the uniform, was roundly booed when he got the ball in the first quarter against Seattle.
The boos continued through the game, mixed with cheers after a handful of Carter baskets. He finished with 21 points and five assists as the Raptors lost 101-94 to the Seattle SuperSonics.

I couldnt find a pic of the Jordan dunk over Salley, but I found this:
"We were playing (the Bulls) in Detroit, and our main objective was not to let Michael dunk on us...He was coming down on offense on a break, and...I had him stopped. The next thing I know, he turns his body all wiggly-waggly. He moves his body in midair, and he lays it in on the other side of the rim. We call timeout..., and before he could say a thing, I yell at Chuck (Daly, the Detroit coach), 'Don't even yell at me! You saw him do it! You saw what he did!"
-- John Salley, recalling a game against Jordan's Bulls in the late '80s
But this is my favorite:
"We wish Jordan were 7-feet, but he isn't. There just wasn't a center available. What can you do? Jordan isn't going to turn this franchise around. I wouldn't ask him to. He's a very good offensive player, but not an overpowering offensive player."
-- Rod Thorn, then Bulls general manager, after selecting Jordan in the 1984 NBA Draft (Chicago Tribune, June 20, 1984)

even laughs at that Rod Thorn statement.

I remember that quote by Rod Thorn. I wonder if he ever wants to take it back.

You've gotta see it to believe it.
I'll have to check out that Jordan over salley dunk.

But I doubt VC will ever get to the finals, unless he changes his attitude.

Raptors overcame the biggest 4th quater defiicit in franchise history yesterday (19 points) to come back and beat the Spurs 96-91. And VC and Jalen were on the bench for the entire 4th quarter.
Vince Carter is only a few more bad games away from losing his starting spot.
