It is easy, and unlike some people's advice it can be done without removing bumper.
Take out bumper screws behind rear tire, pull out that edge,
take out bumper plugs and 10MM from when you open the trunk (you'll see it).
Bumper will now drop down low enough to put in a socket extension with a 10MM on it to get to the 2 bolts under the light. Then there are 4 8mm's inside the trunk when you pull back the trunk liner. I wonder if we can just use the 4 for ease of changing in the future. Hmmm....

Anyway, it's simple enough.

Got them in tonight btw...holy hell...perfect fit and they look amazing. My car finally looks modded from all angles and I'm in love.

I opted for chrome plated amber turn signals...change it up since our turn signals are red normally. It looks great...and the LEDs light up perfectly for the brake lights!

Well, generally, I keep ALL stock pieces to convert back when I sell. But my 3G is an 2004 and I still have the all red lights in the attic. I will hold off for a bit to make sure I don't want to keep the type S lights...if not I will offer to sell to a friend of mine that was interested, if not that I will post in BM.

Ok, now the clear lights. My review.
Fitment is perfect
Build quality and shipping are perfectly done, well protected.
For the price (at the GB rate), you really can't go wrong. I have a friend that paid 400 bucks between buying type S and paying to have "ghost" tails made. This is much cheaper and less headache.

I wanted to switch it up so I opted for a chrome dipped amber turn signal. Love it...

Thanks man...lol...I cleaned her last night after install. In the dark, but at least no water spots from it being hot out! lol.

PS...you should DEF. order these...I knew I wanted something modded on my tails...this was a no brainer. Pretty good price too!

how many people here have their tail light installed?
i was installing mine today and running to some issues. it seems like all the driver side parts are having fitting issue. the taillight had huge gap before the fender and light. i could stick 4-5 index cards between the gap. i end up having to enlarge the holes so the light can fit flush to the fender. i am kind of piss off because i scratched the len during the process, I have to cut and fit for nearly 8 times. I accidently kicked the light and scratched it. It’s still not perfect like OEM but much better. passenger side fits perfectly; i didn't have to cut anything. now to the side markers. again it's the driver side. the clips would fit tightly. you could easily pull it out. passenger side fits perfectly.

i haven't do the front side marker yet because i could take the wheels off. The stupid tire shop over tighten my wheels. i use all my force and it wouldn't come off.

i installed these tails with no problems whatsoever.

you sure everything is put back together correctly? they should fit perfect.

has your car been in any accidents that would cause the frame to be shifted in anyway?

the DEPO lights you are replacing your stock ones with, are literally the same size. i measured every single angle and they're the same. so if you took out your stocks, and they fit fine on the car, then these replacements should have no problem fitting. maybe someone else can chime in...

about the sidemarkers, what clip do you mean? the harness plug? the actual sidemarker piece?

i ordered the tails and sidemarkers, but i have a type-s, and the sides would not work because the harness adapter plug is a different size. i ended up sending mine back to USR.

hopefully someone else can give us their thoughts on what went wrong here. be patient, someone will help you out.

maybe i got a bad one. we brought the car brand new back in 2004 no major accidents, only one where bumper got scratched. it took me 10mins to figure out why it didn’t fit. The screws are not perfectly align, when I put the OEM back and it fit perfectly. Since I got the car apart I didn’t want to send it back and retake the car apart. So I say F it and start cutting. Little by little it start fitting better.
Side marker have to clips on each side, when you push it in It’ll grab on to the metal. On the driver side, it seems like the housing is about 1mm or 2 mm short. They fit but little lose so when use your hand and pull, it’ll come off. Unlike OEM you have to get in to the truck and push both clips and push it out.
