doh, just last night my car rolled and my side view mirror hit a pole...I took off some of the pole's paint lol. Fortunately no damage to the assembly other than a scuff mark on the black rubbery edge. I guess protection would be a good thing to have lol. I'd probably go for smoke though if it looks good
