has anyone installed the aspec kit? i installed one for the tl type s for a friend, and he had to cut some parts off of his bumper, does anyone know if aspec requires any cutting???

When installing the TL-S A-Spec front lip, did you guys decide to keep the lower grille in or take it out like instructed?

What do you guys think??

You only need to cut if your going from non-type s to TYPE-s. I have done this before and the exhaust holes for the TYPE-S are larger than the base so cutting is required.

why would you cut anything before test fitting it? no cutting is required like said for the rear lip on the type S

exactly...why would they have that in there for a type-s instructions? also, why would they show a base model diagram on the type-s application...and not a type-s bumper (quads)

yeah i had no idea i didn't have to cut anything, i was just following the directions. i did think it was odd that it was showing a base exhaust on a type-s app.

very generic directions.

Depends on your location, they were short on ASM so they had to get mine from the cali warehouse so mine took a week. Yes, you will receive a tracking number from curry acura once it is shipped, but that shit is addictive watching it :p

So wait.....If you have a type s putting on a type s aspec kit you don't need to cut anything?

Like Aaron, and probably a bunch of other people, I dremmeled out the holes in the Type-S bumper during my install too. The instructions said to do so - and I didnt bother to test fit the underspoiler because I didnt want to scratch the finish on the bumper with the three bolts of the underspoiler. It makes no difference since the bumper can never be put back to stock anyway...Oh well.

Looks good anyway!!

I cut mine too for the Type-S but my buddy didnt think we needed to and he was right! we just wanted to follow the directions just in case.
