There are no modifications to be done during install right? As in no cutting of sorts should just be placed over the stock body?

You will need to drill 4 big holes and 4 small holes in the front bumper for the front type s lip. Also there is a seal that needs to be put on around where the honeycomb comes out, but thats it for the front.

Side skirts are a little trickey at first, but the instructions help Turned out perfect. No modification necessary!!

Rear bumper is where the modification needs to be done. Where the silver original covers for the exhaust are, the mounting tabs need to be cut off the bumper after you remove those covers. Otherwise the lip will not sit flush to the grill in the back. There are 9 fairly large holes in the rear bumper that need to be drilled. (12mm).

P.S. dont make the mistake i did. I had to take the rear bumper back off to tighten the three nuts on the back. Instructions say to hand tighten them but never say to tighten them down. I waited, put the bumper on and then found out that there is no way to get to them once the cover is flush with the bumper support. Just a heads up!

SickTLS, that looks awesome! Thanks for posting pics! You should get door visors. I can't wait to get my kit on! I spoke with Curry Acura yesterday and they said they would FedEx express my new front under spoiler Tuesday.

Theyre on my list, but I have got to get my tint fixed first!! Previous owner thought it would be a good idea to just tint the back 50%!

Awesome thanks for the info and the car looks good! Are you at stock height and did it make the car lower by a lot?

Yea im at stock height. Another thing on my list. It seems to make the front lower just because of the ground effects. I want to go lower but im happy for now!!

got everything. everything was well packed. just installed it yesterday afternoon-night. everything was easy to install for front and side skirts. rear was a pain the ass cuz i opted for an aftermarket rear after getting into an accident, so there were no markings to drill the holes in the rear QQ. but after that, everything looks great. rear is still a little off though but i dont mind. will post up pics once back home.

Yeah im debating to lower it as well cause I can't be bothered slowing down for every bump or driving sideways to get in a plaza or something. I'll see how it looks and I might go with a minor drop with pro-kit or h&r.

took me about 4 hours for the type s kit but that was with someone helping me to get the bumpers off as to not scratch anything. probable would have been around 5 and a half by myself (just wanting to be extra careful not to drill the wrong holes)

took me about 5 hours...only bc i had the same problem as tiffanyyoungg. my rear bumper is aftermarket, so no marks to drill!

i had to measure like 20 times to make sure it was perfect. but in the end, it came out well. the install process itself is not so bad, this was my first time doing anything like this and it came out great. just take your time and follow the directions supplied. having a friend with you will help when you reinstall your bumpers and whatnot, so that it's all lined up properly. one you pull back the 3m tape and stick...thats where it stays lol. good luck! you'll be fine!

haha......i know i know, i couldn't pass up the deal on them tho. straight up trade for my stock type-s wheels. these are 19's...less weight...and look dope imo.

mines comes in tomorrow!! but i don't plan on putting it on til april/may. i plan on getting some coilovers as well as a rsb and putting them all on at the same time.

DOES ANYONE HAVE PICTURES OF THE INSTALLED 07-08 BASE a-spec kit???
all the pictures i see around these forums are pics of either 04-06 with base a-spec, or 04-06 with type s a-spec front, or 07-08 type s a-spec front end.

wheres the 07-08 base a-spec love at??

i seen default pictures on other websites like the curry website, but i couldn't really distinguish the difference between the factory front lip for 07-08 and the a-spec front lip for the 07-08 (non type-s)

maybe some actual live photos from our azine members will help me see the difference?

I just got word from Curry Acura that my rear lip is delayed and stuck in Cali, but would be shipped on March 2. I wonder if thats only for the ASM or has anyone else had a delay?

I just received my lip kit from FEDEX. The box was slightly beat up and the top was ripped as if someone opened it you can tell because of the broken tape. I managed to look inside and count the pieces. It looks like nothing is missing but won’t be able to tell until I go home later today. The packaging inside is well packed so I don’t think there is not damage. Overall good experience with the whole group buy being this is my first ever.

Thanks!!!

yes pretty damn big, I had to remove it out of the box to fit it inside my TL, at least the sides fit in my trunk, but the front and rear are inside the cabin.

I must say that this lip kit looks very complicated to installed, for sure it is not your average ebay lip kit, four screws and your done.

def not anywhere close to an eBay kit...this is a direct part from acura, yanno? you should be happy it's more complicated than 4 screws and your done.

just follow the directions to install, you'll be fine man.

Hello guys, first I'd like to thank Bruce and Curry Acura for the great deal they gave us and how well all my stuff was packaged. I've been a little busy at work and haven't had time to install much. I have a 07 Type-S WDP and i asked for Base front and Type-S sides and rear. I have only done the sides so far and wow were they tricky. I'm getting my Base front done on Friday being that i need custom cutting/molding and I figured I'll get my rear done as well being that I'm scared drilling in the wrong spot. I just got my roof painted along with a roof spoiler and added window visors. Hopefully my car will be done with my kit install by Saturday and will post pics. I wanted to get my calipers painted but don't know if i should go with red or the brembo honey mustard color? What color do you guys think would look good with my WDP? Thx guys and for those who haven't received or installed theirs yet good luck and don't forget to post pics.

bad news... there's a scratch on my rear lip
the remainder of the kit appears to be fine, but i'm going to call Curry Acura tomorrow to see what they can do about it. The scratch is located on the convex portion of the lip above the passenger-side exhaust :/ Here's a pic:

I hear they're reasonable guys so I hope everything goes smoothly and I can get an unscratched rear lip by my spring break for install!
