could you go into detail about how these are better than progress or comptech bushings?

Well, these are stronger and will deflect less under load. This will provide more accurate handling. Also some people have complained of noise coming from the bushings supplied with these sway bars, and these bushings tend to be less prone to noise.

Lastly, upgrading the front bushings will provide sharper steering and greater directional stability.

They should last, well, as long as you need them to. This is a major benefit of the poly bushing option. They stand up a lot longer than rubber does. It would be at least 10 years before you saw any signs of deterioration, I'd expect.

I just purchased new OEM ones for my Comptech front sway bar...haven't installed the sway yet.

Are these much more worth purchasing over the OEM bushings I just bought?

If you want stronger bushings then yes. The question is do you think you need stronger bushings?

Basically...that would depend on how aggressive I drive?

Not too aggressive.

I could probably hook them up...they are about the same price as my local dealership.

I think they are 22 mm...ok thanks for the info.

To replace the front sway bar bushing for the 3g tl with prothane ones how long would that take for a mechanic?
Do you have to take off the fsb to replace the bushing?

the sway shouldn't take more than 15-20 min to uninstall. So, yes you will need to uninstall the fsb to install the prothane bushings.

Sorry but I don't understand.... I believe you need to drop the lower sub frame to remove the front sway bar that’s a several hour job. How could you say adding prothane busings to the front sway bar takes 15- 20 minutes?
