Engine covers were planned but apparently there can be a problem with discoloration from the heat over time.

dang those cf ones are nice, did i make a mistake in getting the fg? The guy that painted mine and the oem kit said he finished and installed the lip kit I just have to buy some 3m tape

I just called the guy doing the painting and he said the lip ran into the emblems. He said the trunks been repainted before and hes thinking the people that put the emblems on put them up higher. So hes going to remove them. He said worse case scenario which he doubts will happen, depending on how the body shop put the emblems on but worse case is painting the truck too which would be an extra $50. Im hoping he can just shave it off. I kinda wanted no emblems anyways but liked the type s part

Why can't he remove the emblem and then re-stick it back on with 3M tape?

I guess he could but i figure if hes taking them off i might as well keep them off maybe I'll stick them back on later.

When I first bought the car and joined the forum i liked the inspire look a lot and thought it was original but it looks like a lot are doing that and am thinking maybe just no emblems period

yea i want mine really bad...most of the socal ppl have them already n 1 norcal(mildblues)...im pretty sure not alot of ppl ordered cf so i dont see y its take the cf orders so long

Not that hard. Use a heat gun or hair dryer and then place fishing line under the wing and slide it across. Use some goo gone to remove the remaining tape.

Sorry it is taking so long guys, we decided to pre-apply the 3m tape on the wings to make yer install a little cheaper and easier. So we have been doing that! Shipping really soon, we have the wings here now.

Man, this is making me question my WW spoiler...too bad the trunk has holes drilled into it now.

I look at the wing this morning and its coming up on the sides, like its not shaping to the curves of the trunk so it might be easier then I thought to remove the tape. Thanks for the tip. Is there something stronger than 3m tape? Thats what the guy said he used to put it on but i don't get why it wouldn't be adhering to the trunk. Maybe because it was cold out? So when I reapply the tape and position it on the trunk should I wait for a warm day?

can you sell the wings west one for more than this ones worth?

You might notice the sides of the wing are coming up and stick up past the corner pieces because the tape didn't adhere to the trunk
