Hytech Exhaust and Engine Products for TSX available from Heeltoe!

Ok, at long last! Here is the parts list, Price, and lead time of
Hytech's offerings!

Engine parts and exhaust will work on AT or MT cars. Reflash available
for all except 05 5AT. Reflash needed for optimal or safe performance.

Exhaust System (Specify NA or SC), $899.00 4 weeks

Camshaft pair, Stage 1 or 2 (For NA), $899.00 Stock

VTC Acutator, $125 Stock

Valve Spring set, $149.00 Stock

Retainer set, $149.00 Stock

Valve set, $225.00 Stock

Intake Manifold, $500.00 Stock

ITB Kit, Complete, $2,899.00 2 weeks

Intake Gasket - Hondata, $55.00 Stock

Oil Sump Baffle kit, $289.00 Stock

Piston set w/ ring - Hytech/Wiseco Custom, $600.00 6 weeks

Connecting Rod set - Carillo, $1,195.00 4 weeks

Ecu reflash - Hondata Reflash, $595.00 2 weeks

K-Pro Conversion Harness, Not Including K20 ECU , $850.00 2 weeks
This is a custom dual ECU setup. Not endorsed by Hondata, but we assure
you it works. This is a racecar deal. That means thinks like traction
control and vehicle stability control are not going to function
properly, or at all probably. So for performance and whatnot it will
work fine. But we are not recommending for a street application!

I have outlined a few packages for you so you can save your adding skill
for later if you want. None of the packages include reflash or Kpro,
which will be needed! In addition to labor.

Now, we have all seen this Dyno:

This car was running the Grand Am Stage 1 Kit: Entire cam package (cams,
retainers, springs, valves), Header, Oil pan baffle. We also know that
the header is designed specifically for use with the Hytech Cat and
exhaust, those packages are:
Grand Am 1 Kit: $3011
Grand Am 1 Kit with Cat and Exhaust: $4305

With the Grand Am 2 Kit, Intake Manifold, IM gasket, pistons and rods,
we are bumping power to about 290 for WHP and 260 for torque: $6655

For the most extreme package, we have the ITB/Full Weld kit. 315 WHP,
250 ft-lbs.
$11,054

Dayam...I wish I had $15k to spend on my car right now...

fire4adrymouth 05-24-2007 10:14 AM

Finaly! Serious parts, all motor ftw :)

tsxdriver 05-24-2007 10:44 AM

do you need payment in full at time of purchase or can we put like half down and then pay the other half when the parts are ready? that Grand Am 1 Kit with Cat and Exhaust is looking really tasty :yum: :yum: and this is a complete bolt on kit right? no modifications needed?

mltk53 05-24-2007 10:46 AM

JEEBUS 315hp?!?!?

price!?! :bawling:

crazybaboon6000 05-24-2007 11:21 AM

so for the grand am 1 kit do we need BOTH the reflash AND the K-Pro? or just the reflash would work?

CCColtsicehockey 05-24-2007 11:30 AM

now does the extreme kit really mean itbs and how well will this work for a street given car.

Tsx536 05-24-2007 12:15 PM

Looks like an awesome setup!
What is needed for K-Pro in addition to the K-Pro Harness that Hytech is selling?
Do I just need an K-Pro ECU from an RSX?
Will this harness work for a TSX with an Auto Transmission?

mrgold35 05-24-2007 12:17 PM

Can we expect an extra 3-5 lbs of tq and maybe 10-15 hp with the 06/07 TSX?

What is everyone thoughts on stage 1 on a 06/07 5AT and possible long term problems with 50 lbs of extra tq? Any suggestions/plans to beef up the 5AT?

joerockt 05-24-2007 12:24 PM

Wow...Unreal...

What kind of gains could you see with just the intake manifold?

PJS 05-24-2007 12:34 PM

I can see a few banks getting knocked over this weekend.....:chuckle:
Right, now all I need is ask Pepsi if they fancy sponsoring me - just for the hell of it!
I get fast car, they get.....erm.....come on guys help me out here.....erm......something in return.

I'd be more than happy with Stage 1, but Stage 2 would be nice.
Stage 2 is already asking a lot from the front end as far as putting that power down, so God knows what Stage 3 requires, if not a complete race car strip out and requisite suspension/sway bars, and race rubber!

Exhaust cheaper than Comptech, not much more than Skunk2 - looks like there's a new default in town now.

Nono, only a reflash. Kpro is for extra credit ;)

TodaSi 05-24-2007 07:42 PM

Marcus,

Any eta on my Stage 1 kit w/exhaust and cat? When do I send in my ECU?

So, we can add the pistons, etc later and then get another reflash or k-pro?

I'm sooooo excited. :excited:

Yeah, I said ITB Full Weld...and I imagine with the tuning capability on the Kpro street drivability would be quite good. I know a number of people with this type of setup on lesser Hondas. Of course, premium fuel, and maybe octane booster for full potential might be needed. We would be talking about 12.5:1 compression.

For the Kpro, you need an RSX ECU, conventional Kpro system, and the harness.

Unsure of compatibility with AT. I will ask!

I'd say no. The 06 extra power probably has more to do with the revised DOT testing than any significant change in engine performance. The 06-07 is a little better, but we are changing most of those differences to new stuff anyway.

Problems? I doubt it. The 4 cyl transmissions are generally very strong. I highly doubt you'd have any issues at that level. Remember, we are not launching or anything, right ;) ?

Asking now. Good question.

We do a 50/50 deal. Pretty much bolt on yeah. Hardest part is putting the cams in.

I always thought putting in the new springs and retainers was a little harder than just swapping out the cams :toocool:

Those damn little retainer keepers! :ugh:

Sebo1 05-24-2007 11:58 PM

what parts require the reflash? ie can we install the intake manifold and still get some gains?

what if i go with kit #1 or #2 and decide to throw a supercharger, is it posssible? and what are the cons/pros of the possiblity of throwing force induction after gettting one of these kits..

also it would be nice if there was list of how much gain each part puts out so people can buy just the parts which provide the most gains..

ohhh i like that!!

so for the Grand Am 1 Kit with Cat and Exhaust, i'll also need to purchase the reflash & Kpro right? what if i currently have the regular reflash? is it just gonna be upgraded to the hytech specs?

thats fine i have no problem using premium fuel I just wanted to make it sure it wasn't going going to like a race car driveability. damn very tempting.

would it be difficult you think to do it in two stages of doing the grand am 2 kit first and the ITB's later on.

power trade off for non jdm parts. hmmmm. damn I wanted the j's single exhaust but ITBs are so sexy.

My hope is if I do ITBs I could get them with the top with the bolt pattern for those CF hats.

No the reflash and kpro are two different versions of the same thing. Reflash is when they take your computer and reprogram it. Kpro is when you program your own computer. Either eay, you want to optimize the computer for your mods. The reflash is good for a car modded with bolt ons, but crazy NA or boost will require the Kpro. The reflash we are talking about is the Hytech specific one, yes. Different than the regular Hondata one.

The Grand am reflash is designed for use with the cam package, hytech exhaust system, and either intake mani (stock or hytech).

I am unsure of the effect of adding boost. For sure you'll want the kpro over the reflash if you think you will boost it.

yes i'm aware of the differences between the different reflashes and kpro but my question is:

will i need to buy both the reflash and the kpro or either or for the Grand Am 1 Kit with Cat and Exhaust? thanks!

No, either re-flash OR k-pro. I'm getting the full Grand Am kit and will be getting the re-flash only.

Marcus, this hasn't been discussed yet, but, isn't the VTC (RSX type S) part of the Grand Am kit?

mrsteve 05-27-2007 10:55 AM

Since K-pro is now a solution (anyone using it yet btw?) are low compression pistons available as well as the 12.5:1 you have offered?

I too would like to know if this header/cat/exhaust combo would work well with a Comptech Supercharged car? Since the Comptech S/C requires it's own reflash and all.

I think all the s/c owners are waiting to hear back about this....
i've sent an email to Marcus in regards to this as well...

i'm also interested in the k-pro solution...

ALN 05-28-2007 03:04 AM

What the intake manifold looks like?

Benz_05_TSX 05-28-2007 05:58 AM

Damn, our cars can actually go pass 300hp?? oh my god, is this ever so tasty!!
