Dayam...I wish I had $15k to spend on my car right now...
|
Finaly! Serious parts, all motor ftw :)
|
do you need payment in full at time of purchase or can we put like half down and then pay the other half when the parts are ready? that Grand Am 1 Kit with Cat and Exhaust is looking really tasty :yum: :yum: and this is a complete bolt on kit right? no modifications needed?
|
JEEBUS 315hp?!?!?
price!?! :bawling: |
:bigeek:
|
so for the grand am 1 kit do we need BOTH the reflash AND the K-Pro? or just the reflash would work?
|
now does the extreme kit really mean itbs and how well will this work for a street given car.
|
Looks like an awesome setup!
What is needed for K-Pro in addition to the K-Pro Harness that Hytech is selling? Do I just need an K-Pro ECU from an RSX? Will this harness work for a TSX with an Auto Transmission? |
Can we expect an extra 3-5 lbs of tq and maybe 10-15 hp with the 06/07 TSX?
What is everyone thoughts on stage 1 on a 06/07 5AT and possible long term problems with 50 lbs of extra tq? Any suggestions/plans to beef up the 5AT? |
Wow...Unreal...
What kind of gains could you see with just the intake manifold? |

I can see a few banks getting knocked over this weekend.....:chuckle:
Right, now all I need is ask Pepsi if they fancy sponsoring me - just for the hell of it! I get fast car, they get.....erm.....come on guys help me out here.....erm......something in return. I'd be more than happy with Stage 1, but Stage 2 would be nice. Stage 2 is already asking a lot from the front end as far as putting that power down, so God knows what Stage 3 requires, if not a complete race car strip out and requisite suspension/sway bars, and race rubber! Exhaust cheaper than Comptech, not much more than Skunk2 - looks like there's a new default in town now. |

Nono, only a reflash. Kpro is for extra credit ;) |
Marcus,
Any eta on my Stage 1 kit w/exhaust and cat? When do I send in my ECU? So, we can add the pistons, etc later and then get another reflash or k-pro? I'm sooooo excited. :excited: |

Yeah, I said ITB Full Weld...and I imagine with the tuning capability on the Kpro street drivability would be quite good. I know a number of people with this type of setup on lesser Hondas. Of course, premium fuel, and maybe octane booster for full potential might be needed. We would be talking about 12.5:1 compression. |

For the Kpro, you need an RSX ECU, conventional Kpro system, and the harness. Unsure of compatibility with AT. I will ask! |

The 06 extra power probably has more to do with the revised DOT testing than any significant change in engine performance. The 06-07 is a little better, but we are changing most of those differences to new stuff anyway. Problems? I doubt it. The 4 cyl transmissions are generally very strong. I highly doubt you'd have any issues at that level. Remember, we are not launching or anything, right ;) ? |

We do a 50/50 deal. Pretty much bolt on yeah. Hardest part is putting the cams in. |

I always thought putting in the new springs and retainers was a little harder than just swapping out the cams :toocool: Those damn little retainer keepers! :ugh: |
what parts require the reflash? ie can we install the intake manifold and still get some gains?
what if i go with kit #1 or #2 and decide to throw a supercharger, is it posssible? and what are the cons/pros of the possiblity of throwing force induction after gettting one of these kits.. also it would be nice if there was list of how much gain each part puts out so people can buy just the parts which provide the most gains.. |

so for the Grand Am 1 Kit with Cat and Exhaust, i'll also need to purchase the reflash & Kpro right? what if i currently have the regular reflash? is it just gonna be upgraded to the hytech specs? |

would it be difficult you think to do it in two stages of doing the grand am 2 kit first and the ITB's later on. |

No the reflash and kpro are two different versions of the same thing. Reflash is when they take your computer and reprogram it. Kpro is when you program your own computer. Either eay, you want to optimize the computer for your mods. The reflash is good for a car modded with bolt ons, but crazy NA or boost will require the Kpro. The reflash we are talking about is the Hytech specific one, yes. Different than the regular Hondata one. Marcus |

The Grand am reflash is designed for use with the cam package, hytech exhaust system, and either intake mani (stock or hytech). I am unsure of the effect of adding boost. For sure you'll want the kpro over the reflash if you think you will boost it. |

Marcus will i need to buy both the reflash and the kpro or either or for the Grand Am 1 Kit with Cat and Exhaust? thanks! |

Since K-pro is now a solution (anyone using it yet btw?) are low compression pistons available as well as the 12.5:1 you have offered?

I too would like to know if this header/cat/exhaust combo would work well with a Comptech Supercharged car? Since the Comptech S/C requires it's own reflash and all.

i've sent an email to Marcus in regards to this as well... i'm also interested in the k-pro solution... |
What the intake manifold looks like?
|
Damn, our cars can actually go pass 300hp?? oh my god, is this ever so tasty!!
