Man, I'm really glad I referred this guy! It looks like he's working out quite nicely for the AZ folks!

Matt, do I have a finder's fee coming my way? (hehehe just kiddin'!)

Retrofit-Source, I'm extremely glad you are onboard to do what I can't do to my lenses, I am very interested and ready to get things in motion.

But, I'm hoping you can post pics of all the various 'looks' that you can do with the lenses. I would hate to get them done a certain way and then see another style which floors me.

Can you post pics of the various styles..

Sorry ive been away guys, just returned from a much needed, nice 10 day vacation. Anyways, Ive only been posting lights that Ive done. mostly been working on the new TL lights since I only have an extra set of core exchange lights for that model. I can still work on others though, but you'll need to either get an extra set, or send in yours.

I would like mine balcked out just blike the picture. What is my next step for getting them done.

QUOTE=A SiQ TL]So these are blacked out......

and these are cleared.

but none of these you did, right? These are just to show what it will look like.

Those blacked out ones are the cleanest looking I have seen yet. Just from those pictures alone, I am now considering blacking out. Can you make it look just like that? It looks like they left a little of the "clearing" in the middle.[/QUOTE]

yeah the best way to contact me would be email. Clearing the Acura headlights is actually done by one of my helpers, so its hard for me to coordinate on the AZ Forums. e-mails much more efficient

Red face I emailed

So I emailed you and you responded saying "but please be aware this is for the original style 3G TL lights. I dont know if they changed them in 06 or 07, but I just wanted to make sure you know." I have a 06 TL wich is "3G" so I should be able to do the core swapping program right? I would really like to get them cleared/blacked out

04-05s are different than the 06, ballast is different. 07 is totally different than both 04-05 and 06, not only is the ballast different but also they have DRLs. Would the 04-05 ballast fit the 06 or 07 or vise versa? No it would not. Hope this helps.

right well Im pretty sure that for 07 they changed the look of the normal TL's headlights to look more like the TL-S lights, with the rounded DRL bezel. I only have core exchange lights available for the original style 3g TL lights, so if you want to keep your new style ones, you'll need to send those in to be modded without an exchange.

I think the ballasts and everything else should be compatible though.

Retrofit,
Do you at any time sell your core exchanges? I'm interested in getting my headlights cleared but I just can't go without my car due to work.

FYI

the Ballast and healight housing changed design from '04-'05 to '06-'07... meaning that the '04-'05 use a larger ballast & holding bracket... than the '06-'07... the '06-'07 use a smaller ballast and bracket which also changed the mounting locations on the actual headlight housing...

I learned the hard way back in the day when I did a core exchange for clearing my '06 headlights for an '04-'05 design...

Good Luck Guys...

I just have to say that from my interaction with him, Matt from the Retrofit Source is great. He is very concerned with customer satisfaction and stands by his product. He's not just trying to make a quick sale.

Are you doing any LED taillight conversions for 99-03 TL's? If so, I would be interested in talking with you all.

Basically wondering if I can send you a set of 03 tails, you throw in LEDs that fill up the two brake/running light sections with clear leds. When lights are on, the leds are on but when braking they get much brighter. Then put yellow leds in the clear turn signal area, nothing fancy, just led turn signals like some of the brand new BMWs and the Cadillac Cateras. I want plug n play connections that won't cause the brake warning light to come on in the dash. Is this possible? LED tails will complete my car!! I'm sure others are interested in this!!
