it actually is a bit more precise than that, if you just rip the sidemarker out peices inside the headlight will likely break, it has to be shoehorned out of there. also for the TL headlights the chrome strip needs to be plastic welded to its black backing.

I can paint the sidemarker black, but then you wouldnt be able to see the light blinking through it, for the TSX lights when its cleared on the corners it appears to be black though since whats behind it is black (with a small silver reflector for the bulb tucked in). I could smoke the corners though, which would tint them so theyd be real dark orange- which would appear black from a distance

I would like to get my 2000 Acura RL headlights cleared.

What is your address to send the headlights to?

Can you take paypal?

What is the turnaround time?

projector on fog lights?

hello,
i have a hid fog light kit, i am just wondering...can you convert the regular fog light housing into hid projector? if yes, what would the process be like? how would the fitment be? and how much it would cost?

i don't know much about lighting, is what i am asking for a normal thing that has been done a lot? it's just an idea poped out of my head, and i am really interested in this mod if possible

it is for 2004 acura tsx

thank you

Guys just wanted to update and let you know I have TSX lights for the core exchange now.

I already cleared them, and added the projector optics color mod. First dibs pays for the clearing only.

I will offer a 1 year no leak guarentee on the sealing job of the headlight. I will be using OEM butyl rubber glue to reseal them, so there shouldnt be any problems. If there are any problems, I will take care of them.

Any chance you will do retrofit's for rear LED tail lights on the 99-03 TLs? If so, I'd be all over that!!

Hey retrofit-source, did you get substitute headlights in for the 04 TL yet. Remember we spoke earlier in the month and I just wanted to buy a pair of headlights off of you. And I wanted them modded clear and painted whited diamond pearl. And you said the pearl may not match, so that's why I didn't want to just send you my headlights I wanted to know if you had any I could just buy.
Let me know when you do.

Looks like I may be doing the projector mod to my 2G TL lights myself over the next couple months.

Question is, If I want the color mod done to the projectors, can I just ship you the projectors BEFORE I do the mod and save on the baking/disassembly labor charges?

How much for the Color mod, if I just send you the projectors?
(either 3G TL, or TSX projectors... haven't decided yet)

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but what's the benefit of the lens swap if the color mod can be done without it?

Are you going to get a pair of 99-01 head lights because they are different than the 02-03 ones pictured? If so, I would be interested in getting some cleared and blacked out. I would need to do the ship and return policy because I can not send you my headlights and have them gone for days because drive at night for work.

Im working on getting a passengers side light for the TL'ers. man its such a PITA to get ahold of these lights in good condition. I havent had too much interest from the 99-01 guys, so unless the demand goes up I probably wont be getting a set for exchange.

alright guys I finally got a pair of the 3g TL headlights for the core exchange program. lets get a list going of everybody here who wants to get in on this.

you'll need to pay a higher upfront cost of $325 + the cost of whatever services you want. The headlights will be shipped to you first, then you will send back your originals for a $325 refund.

Which ones did you get, 04, 05, or 06? Because I think they are all slight different as far as electrical components because another member "BRETALLICA" had some sort of problem that I'm not positive about. I have an 06 and I defnitely want in.

Brett got 04-05 headlights, but he has an 06. supposidly the ones I got were 04-05's. the headlights will fit the car either way, but from what he told me, the ballasts on the 2 different models are different.

Okay 3g'ers lets start an official "Im in line" list for the 3g TL core exchange headlights. Theyll be available starting later next week. This will help keep things in order

I'm all about it...One question though...maybe two.

I'm all in, but I need a couple of answers....I have a 05 TL and I want to do the exchange program cause I need my car for work. I want to get it cleared and like to have the lens create more color.

Now, first... Is the price you stated at the begining of this thread for the price of one or the pair?? And if I do get the service (which I probably will), are you still giving that $65 discount...so my total will be $135 minus the shipping?!?

I'm die'n to get this done to my baby!!!

Thanks

This is correct, in case there was still any question about it. I thought they were Canadian at first, but it turns out they were simply 2004/2005 model lights, as the ballasts for the 2006 model are different and would not mount on the back of the housing without (what I deemed to be) significant modification. The last thing I want to do is Mickey Mouse my headlights.

for now I can only do 04-05 lights, unless an 06 owner is willing to swap their ballasts as well. the 04-05 ballasts are of the same level of qaulity/performance, just slightly different mounting points. theyll plug right into your stock wiring.

by the way, I dont know if any of you guys read Honda Tuning magazine or not- but if you check out the new issue you'll see an article featuring The Retrofit Source
