Depending on the day, the light and angle the smoked film will look lighter or darker. Hope that makes sense.

i just installed my tints, very nice. sux cuz i could've waited for the 15% off, if i knew. i recommend this product, very strong material.

truexh 10-21-2006 04:29 PM

I just received the tint order from rockblocker, and it seem really hard to put it on because it came in a precut of the whole back light, but I only want to tint the bottom half portion which is the red part so do i apply the tint on the light first then cut it while its on and then peel the top portion off? Or how do I do this? And about spraying to clean out the light... What do you guys use? Just clean water? or what kind of soap as in car wash soap? or dish washing soap?

Yes use water to clean with. yes install the light kit and then trim off the parts you dont want if that is what you are doing. It is rather simple, just use a sharp break away type blade for the best and easiest way.

Never ever use dish soap on any part of your car.

What do you usually sell these for? I just bought a set for my 05' TL for $55 shipped...shouldn't it be cheaper since its 15% off?

RockBlocker 10-24-2006 09:21 AM

Brandi 10-30-2006 10:30 PM

I just bought these for my tail lights & wanna know how easy they are to install? I just made a thread about these earlier before I seen this so any Mods please feel free to delete the thread!
How much would the kit be for the fog & headlights for an 02 CL-S?

RockBlocker 10-31-2006 08:11 AM

Brandi,

Do some searching online and you will see that there are a lot of people installing this product all the time on all the Acura models. If we can help in anyway please do no hesitate to ask. Also please check here for install tips.

is it possible to get the deal for clear front and smoked rear lights? If not, do you have another one coming anytime soon?

RockBlocker 11-02-2006 04:53 PM

All items on sale are listed on the site. Please check www.rbaftermarket.com for further pricing info.

Thanks so much! I got my kit while I was out of town & just opened it. It didnt come with very detailed instructions except to have a tint shop install if you havent had any experience. It looks rather easy. I think I will battle this tomorrow afternoon..
Also with me getting the smoked tail lights do you think I should get the blue or smoked head & fog light film?
What would you recommend? Much Thanks!

Check their gallery, and make the decision. Many examples of people who put rockblocker film on their TL's.

I did look at the gallery but I really cant tell what looks good from the pictures. I like the smoked but I cant tell what the blue really looks like..
I may just go with the smoked all around..

LeonCL 11-05-2006 01:56 PM

Smoke looks cool for black out look. Blue looks cool for a twist on your lights and still functional. Remember the smoked headlight kit will reduce your light out put 17%.

Yes there are some floating around here with 35%, but no pics as you can see from our gallery. Prolly cause it is so dark. During the day you cant see the red of the light unless the brake lights are on.

Brandi 11-06-2006 07:06 PM

OK today I had a tint shop try to put the tail light things on & they messed them up bigtime! I have to re-order a whole new kit!

ubnpast 11-06-2006 08:06 PM

lmao, this stuff is sooo easy to do. You should have them buy the new kit too.

FiveLiterCheater 11-06-2006 08:43 PM

thats not true, I had one on perfect and the other one TORE when i tried reapplying it.

While many people think window tint shops are a great avenue for installing this type of product that is not always the case. We do have many window tint shops that buy the product so dont get me wrong. It is that some are unable to figure out this is not window tint and wont apply like it.

Brandi - if you want another set please call me or Pm. I will take care of you.

Depending on how it was pulled abck up, how long it had set, how much liquid was still present are all factors in the ease or diffculty of the installation. If anyone has any questions with doing the install. The best option we can recommend is for you to call us directly for tips. just remember hours of operation are M-F 8am - 5pm Arizona time (thats mountain time right now)

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:48 AM.
