Moving to AZ...What area is good?

I'm pretty sure I will be moving to AZ within the next year. What areas do you guys recommend looking into? I have been thinking about the Peoria, Glendale area, but open to other cities around that area. I would like a place that is family friendly and has a good school district. Any advise will help. Thank you in advance.

That's hard to say, its so spread out there, I moved there in 2008 from NY. I am an R.E. Appraiser so I know the area pretty well. It all depends where you want to be nxt to? Ahwatukee is really nice, that's where we are going to move to, although it higher rent but one of the best School districts. Im telling its really spread out, so you have a lot of options. hope this helps ...also ck out www.city-data.com

In my opinion, anywhere in the West Valley is good. Area is developing and
Is less congested. Goodyear, AZ is beautiful and the prices of the houses aren't bad at all. Def. stay in the west valley. The east side is only a
Short highway ride away.

Takes me almost 45 minutes to drive from Glendale to Chandler. Phoenix is a big city because allot of stuff is spreadout. Thats driving at around 70 to 80 mph.

Definitely agree with those guys. You can also check out Northwest Phoenix, Sun City area. Its a little far, but its definitely a nice community.

Also, check out Areavibes.com as well... It's a pretty nice site.

I heard Surprise is a nice community with good school districts. Have you guys heard this as well? I will be going to AZ in a couple weeks to check out different areas. I think that will help a lot once I can just drive around the different communities. I have been to AZ a lot but never really looked into different communities so hopefully this will answer a lot of questions or us.

We live in Gilbert - very family friendly, good schools, quiet. Hard to beat.
