Independent Repair Shops Listings???
I tried to do a search but the keywords don't really help to narrow it down. Is there a running list of independent repair shops (ie clutch, starter, alternator, timing belts, etc...) listed anywhere in the forum by states??
I live in the Phoenix Area and outside of the dealership I have only 1 place i take my vehicle to but want to know what else is out there so I can have some options...
Anybody know? or know a good shop in the Phoenix Area they have used and would recommend??
Thanx!

My brother had some work done on his Lexus ES300 from Scott's Coach Works. He liked the job they did. They are located on 7th ave between Camelback and Indian School. I dropped him off to pick up his ride and they were lined up with Hummer's, BMW's, Mercedes, mostly higher end vehicles. This was way back in 2007 though.

Sorry I misread your first post. I've had experience with Japanese Engine Works, AAMCO, and Auto Body World. I hate them all except AAMCO since they upsold me a lifetime warranty on my tranny. Toyomotors did some repairs for me when I had a Lexus, they weren't too bad. I guess it really depends on what you need repaired/diagnosed. I usually do repairs and maintenance myself. But I'm not under any warranty.
I go to Network Alignment on 67th ave and Bethany Home for my alignments, they give 6 month warranty on alignments. But one of their techs did lock in my alignment poorly and that caused my rear tires to wear down within 2 weeks. Jack's wheel alignment is good for vintage and slammed vehicles (they use a flat dock).
I recommend as much research as possible on shops and appropriate costs. Multiple estimates and opinions wouldn't hurt either.
Right now I'm looking for a shop that will tune-up my engine and check my valve spacing (for a good price).
