I'm in route but from a bit north.. I'll get the spot if not taken or you not there before me....
#45
Thanks, man.
Alternatively, uverse was going to come 1-4pm so in a way I'm glad we're getting it out of the way...but I'm concerned with being able to get our usual spot! If anyone is headed there now...go straight in park and snag the spot under the huge banyan trees to the right by the water.

My plans got shot from the time this went from being a Saturday to a Sunday thing. My gf works all day which means I gotta watch the kid. Hope u guys are having fun. This will be the 3rd meet in a row I miss since the last one I made it to....FML. The weather is shit too. Hope it's not too bad up that way. I'll be here creepin the thread to look for updates.
Btw Jeremy, u asked me where the hondabond goes when u do the valve adjustment. You're supposed to put a little dab on the 4 points of the cover gasket where it raises up over the cam.

Jokes aside, thanks all for coming out, I really appreciated Jeremy for setting up the meet and everyone else for cumming. It really was great to meet you all !
So I cut it close but made it on the flight just in time.... Next time I'll go 6 hours in advance..

Well fellas, I do apologize for being tardy. Uverse found 3 breaks in my service into the house...ended up having to chip up an old concrete channel previous owner must have put in to free the line and run a new one. No wonder our service was so spotty! I am normally very punctual...I hate being late, so I'm sorry. I missed Jeff, I missed Ricky... :crycry:
Anyway, next time we'll hopefully have better weather and timing...either way, nice little turn out...bbq burgers and dogs...snapped a few photos and then walked over and checked out all the stancewarnation cars across the pond. Very cool.
Thanks to all that held a spot, brought stuff, and hung around.

But that's an excuse, not an apology...you were the host of the meet, set up the time and place...made the thread, had the actual food... You and Xxxboxxx both were the ones itching for another meet so soon...and both of you slept through it.
If I hadn't gotten there and held the spot and been there for others to know the meet was still on, there wouldn't have been much for you to show up to at 2pm.
Sorry and Thank you go a long way

J1.... regarding that harness for the display, I'm been searching and searching... not really making much ground. Question. What harness would be connected to that display? I know the buttons on the left and right connect to the back displaying the HVAC stuff temp up down ac or heat. the other function is displaying radio station titles and such.
I'm lost.
I'm lost.

Yea, I know! Difficult one. I'll keep you posted on what insight I find.

Once I make bonus again at work, then the suspension will follow shortly after. But if this display can be upgraded, I really want that to be done before the audio part starts happening.
#66
I'll be honest, J...for all the effort you'll go through, you're probably better off getting a nice Avic pioneer touchscreen in there and having someone fab up a mounting kit to make it look clean.
The oem radio is good for grabbing signal...but there are ton of little hiccups with the factory amp/wiring. Almost better off starting from scratch with a clean, strong signal.

i'm still confused as to why you want the display updated? What differences are there exactly? Like j1 said, may not be worth the money to do it if you're not going to gain much :/

Ahhh..
yeah.. unless you got the display already or can get it dirt cheap, not sure if it's worth it but its your car at the end of the day.

at the end of the day bro, youll do what you wanna do (Perk) but if you want to spend so much time and money and efforts on a noticeable display for your radio, then just buy a good aftermarket head unit. Im actually gonna get a kenwood/Garmin touchscreen with bluetooth and a bunch of other shit. its modern, hitech, clean, big screen and actually a bigger bang for your buck as opposed to such a minuscule difference. Just as if i were to go turbo or supercharger, id much rather spend 4k on a turbo kit and have it tuned with al lthe belts and whistles than spending 4k to only gain 40-60 hp. Food for thought.

At work. Chrome Type S Wheels...
Upon closer inspection it seems like a bad chrome job, the back was chipping already....

REVIVAL!!!!!
I have life on the display project.... got a gem of information this morning..... but I need some help....
A. it fits
B. the controls for the ac are the same
C. The difference is in the harness 22pin connector vs 14 pin...
Where might I look to find the connector plug, aside from finding a wrecked TL and cutting behind the connector on the harness far enough to then match wires?
