Smile Official 11/6/10 Charlotte, NC Cars & Coffee/Acurazine Meet Thread!

Do you enjoy meeting up with other Acura owners and checking out their rides but sometimes wish a Ferrari or Lamborghini would randomly show up? Well here's your chance to make that wish come true! Mark your calendars for the first Saturday of November, the 6th.

Cars & Coffee is a nation-wide meet that brings together some of the nicest cars on the road today. I went to the Charlotte C&C this past March and here's just a few pictures of what showed up:

Now do I have your attention?

Anyways I think it would be awesome to have the Acurazine community together to hang out like usual but also have the chance to drool over some exotic cars that we don't have the chance to see very often.

Here's an itinerary of the how the day will go:
    • Step 2-Lunch at Fox and Hound
It's at the same location as C&C so we will just leave our cars where they are parked and walk to the restaurant. Prices are reasonable, food is good, and there are plenty of televisions to watch

November 6, 2010 Charlotte Meet Attendance Roster:
    1) CLtotheTL32 (Tyler) 2004 WDP TL

If you put your name on the list and realize you are not going to be able to make the meet, please let me know asap. I'll be calling F&H TWO WEEKS before making the reservation. I don't want to tell them we have 25 people coming in and only have 8 show up. It won't hurt my feelings if you don't show, but don't put your name on the list and decide not to show without telling someone.

Any comments or concerns are more than welcome to be brought up and discussed! Let me know what you think!

I'm a dumbass and forgot to post times.

    Step 1 - 8:00am
    Step 2 - 11:30am
    Step 3 - 1:00pm

These times ARE NOT set in stone, but rather are an approximation of when we will be going from one thing to another.

4 already? You fellas are awesome!

JP thanks for letting me know it starts at 9:00 and not 8:00. That means I can sleep in an hour later that morning

Since you are a mod, feel free to edit my 2nd post with the times. Maybe we should push lunch back to noon then?

You mean from Raleigh? That's cool with me. We could meet at a gas station at 6:30-7 and then ride out from there. We don't have to get to C&C RIGHT AT 9:00, but we should try to get there around that time since that's when it starts.

Tyler buys my lunch if there aren't any ferrari's, Lambos, or nobles. Mustangs and porsches don't count cause they're a dime a dozen.

Lance and Morgan I'm glad to see that you'll be attending! Morgan tell more of the VA guys to ride along.

Lance if a single Ferrari doesn't show up, I'll get your lunch. The only thing that may void that statement is if it rains. Nobody with a Ferrari in their right mind would bring it out in the rain.

I'll be at C&C. Probably won't make it to the parking garage.

Ok. If it's raining it won't matter. You know...Nov 7th is my 2year azine anniversary. Someone should tell the waitress it's my birthday or something.

I want to get rolling shots of everyone, so I'll try to make the trip down to Ballantyne. 485 would be the perfect route. Not much traffic and 3 or 4 lanes wide in most areas. I have a hard time getting up the ramps of the parking garage, so I might split at that time.

Thanks for putting this together. Should be a fun meet.

I've never had a rolling shot of my car besides one taken from a phone. I would love to get a few of my car if possible. I'll have Mitzi hanging out the window of my car trying to get shots of everyone else too

If enough people from the Raleigh area go, we could just meet at the Sheetz by the airport to gas up and get something to grub on and then hit the road. If only 2 or 3 people come, I say we just get there on our own schedule and not have to worry about meeting up beforehand. We have plenty of time to discuss it.

Bearcat spamming inboxes, y'all must be desperate for peeps

I'm 90% on this as I usually have nothing going on at the beginning of November, and I haven't been to a C&C in a while (spring). However, I didn't want to say anything until closer to the date when I was 100%. I'd rather not commit and show up than commit and back out.

Jim - you know I'm just messing with ya . Hopefully you'll be able to make lunch, too.

Morgan - take these wheels back with you, save on shipping!

What do you mean? Like attend NCSU? I go to Wake Tech, the local community college, but I should be at State sometime next year. My girlfriend is currently a Freshman there as well.

Also State campus is about 15-20 minutes from my front door. I just shoot through downtown Cary.

Jack I hope you're able to make it

Actually, that home page splash is wrong. It is from 8am to whenever (typically starts clearing out around 10:30-11). Here is a link to my update in the C&C thread which is a direct copy/paste from the organizer as posted in the Charlotte C&C forum: https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...&postcount=125

We have been to 6 of the 9 C&C events this year I can tell you that cars start showing up around 7:30-8am. The first lot usually fills up around 8:30am and the other lots are usually full by 9-9:30-ish. Most of the cars in the first lot start trickling out around 10:30am and the place is usually pretty empty by 11-11:30am.

As long as the weather is nice November should be similar. The good thing is that the clocks do not go back until that night... so the end of daylight savings won't affect the November meet!!

As for attending... I am not sure what my schedule will be that far out, but if I can make it I'll let you know!!

If you were in the general area and DIDN'T show up, I'd object. Regardless of what you're driving, riding in or riding on.

OK. Thanks JB. My fault, I haven't kept up and just went off the web site.

    Re-edited the start time.

I sure hope so. It will definently be an early meet but trust me, it's worth it. Those pictures don't give the meet any justice. There were 150+ cars at that meet and I've heard it gets even larger.
