Even though I'm about an hour south of Raleigh, it's absolutely gorgeous outside. I can only imagine how nice it is in Charlotte.

Loving the weather...went to pull-a-part and didnt find a whole lot for my car but i did manage to swipe an extra VC...although this stripping process sucks.

Btw... For all those interested in boxing and college football what do you predict for today's matchup between Texas a&m and bama? And for mayweather be canelo?

Alright so heres a noob question since I've never bought aftermarket wheels before...
I'm going to be needing new tires soon so i figured that it might as well be the time to get new wheels so i don't have to buy two sets of tires. I think I'm going to buy a set of lm reps 19x8.5 with 35mm offset... what size tires do you guys recommend for these? Im not into the whole idea of having a super stretch so just a regular fitting tire would be optimal.

+35 is only 10mm more aggressive than stock, so a 245 should be fine. I've run both 235s and 245s on my 18x8.5 A-Specs with no issues but rubbed in the rear with the 245s when I added spacers and dropped the offset to +25

19x9.5 +20 is pretty aggressive. With those specs, the wheels are 1.5" wider AND 25mm more aggressive than your stock wheels. You'll have to roll fenders and run narrower tires.
Instructor
I dont mind rolling fenders my buddy here has a roller and can do that for free, narrower tires meaning 235-225? whats the disadvantage/advantage to narrower tires?

You'll probably need a 225. There's no real disadvantage besides less rim protection from curbs and such. I'm running a 215 on my 8.5" width A-Specs and haven't had any issues.

Okay sweet!! Im so stoked but now its just a tease cause i have to wait for my tires now to get worn down a bit more to justify the purchase to my pops
Instructor
But wait which color do you guys think would be better with my AM? Ive seen so many with the all silver so i thought the hyper black would be good but I'm so indecisive I cant decide because they both look good

I've been buying all of my tires recently on ebay so check there. It will be hard to beat their prices if you go elsewhere.

I like the silver since your car is a darker color.

Yes I think it is time for that. Oh wait, i'm not Tommy.
Instructor
Okay haha thats where my head was going just wanted some reassurance i was picking correctly i guess
YESS!!!!!! My bank account depletes daily as i find something small that i want for my car haha..
Not to mention all i do is sit on Azine during class and while I'm at the library....
A-Spec is definitely happening soon. Ive been doing some Craigslisting for it to try to get it off a used car for cheaper than the group buy because my bumpers need to be repainted too so i figured my dad would be more willing and not freak about dropping $750 on something else... But it will happen i promise!!
I want to clear my headlights out so bad it drives me nuts

You might not HAVE to, but I would suggest you do. They give better adjustability for both camber and toe.

Get the wheels and take it for an alignment. If your shop can get it close to factory camber specs with 0 toe, you don't need a kit.
Instructor
My friend here says theres a really good shop that has an in-ground rack and the guy is really anal about it and wont leave it .1 off so ill try there first... And if that doesn't work out ill see if i can get one of the race shops in mooresville to do it.
or maybe ill just get the 19x8.5 with +35 offset in the silver... I guess i didnt see those earlier i must have overlooked them... probably will end up going that route.

I'm sure they do. They're a necessity, in my opinion. Glad you're enjoying them!
