Hi, fellow Charlotteans.

I purchased my first Acura in late May - a 2010 TL SH-AWD w/ Technology package. I found this site shortly afterward and have been lurking ever since. I hope to meet other Acura enthusiasts in the area.

Any recommendations window tinting - brand/type of tint, shop for installation, etc?

I recommend Russo's tinting in Denver, NC. I live right down the street from them now, but I used to come up here even when I lived in Matthews. They were recommended to me by several people in one of the Corvette clubs many years ago.

If you're on the south side of Charlotte, Speed Styles on Independence just below 485. They just did my new BMW on Friday.

SpeedStyles

There's a place in Rock Hill that does Huper Optik if you're looking for top end (with top end pricing).

I will check them out - thanks for the recommendation.

This is the second recommendation for SpeedStyles that I've received. Thank you for passing along.

It's would be tough, but there is a slim chance I could make it on Friday. Have any more details?

(I will more than likely be at Cherry Park in Rock Hill most of the weekend)

Type S is clean man! Love it! If I could. I'd take it off your hands.

BMW looks good too.

I may have taken a look at it. Probably makes more sense for me to buy a less expensive cruiser car versus a $30k+ car, but then again not muchI do makes sense. Either way, sweet car! If this was about 8 months later I would have to seriously look at it .

Also, didn't get a chance to promote it much since I was traveling for most of late July and early August, but the August 18 Caffeine & Horsepower show was our biggest turnout yet. Estimates put it around 200+ cars and we even got Harris Teeter on board with free coffee and Krispy Kreme donuts. September's show looks to be huge as well!

That is awesome work getting them on board to provide donuts and coffee. I think it is great when larger companies decide to get in on helping with communitee invents. You guys have done well with it

Good work! Is it always held on the third Saturday of the month? (I seem to recall seeing that somewhere)

Yeah. The bagel shop that's in the shopping center who we originally started this with tried to get it shut down for no reason. Luckily both of us (myself and my buddy) actually know the owner of the shopping center itself... so we had him come down to the July meet and he loved it. We moved to the other side of the lot by Teeter and got the GM of that location involved... who also loved it... and they (Teeter) offered up free coffee and donuts. We also have a lot of the other tenants involved as well so we advertise for them, let them set up a little table with some info (if they want), and they usually have some free beverages and such as well.

Yes, standing date is the 3rd Saturday of the month! We also post the events on our FB page as well as on our IG page (IG is posted a few days before, FB is posted immediately after the current one ends). The event info has the date, times, and location... none of which change. Always the 3rd Saturday, same time, same place

Yeah... funny part is the bagel shop owner was complaining that we were hurting his business b/c customers couldn't get into his shop. Meanwhile there was a line to the door the entire 3 hours... usually longer, and we blocked off spots for customer parking only... most right in front of his shop... so he was full of it.

The best part is that with Teeter now on board and other tenants coming out for the event we may actually start to hurt his business a tiny bit b/c of the free coffee and donuts . That and my buddy is not shy about telling everyone why we moved locations in the lot... so now people go into the Starbucks in Teeter if they want to buy coffee. So we'll see. Good thing is that we have the shopping center owner on-board as well as the Sherriff Office and town police... both of who were on-site last event to ensure no one was leaving like idiots now that we're closer to the road.

It would appear as if the Caffeine and Horsepower event for tomorrow has been cancelled (9/15).

I could have made this one.

Hope everyone stays safe!

I caught the back half of today's event. We enjoyed it.

I was told there was an Acura there before I arrived. Did anyone else make it out?

I'm in Denver, NC and I'm open to most anything car related even if it is just a lunch or dinner to BS about car stuff. Anyone been to the C&C since it moved? I haven't been able to make it the last few months.

I have been once to the new location. Pretty cool location really. Does fill up fast though cause it is a bit smaller but I like that they are trying to seperate cars coming to C&C to show off their car and people that are just coming to spectate into seperate lots. Overall so far things seem to be much more organized and hopefully it stays that way.

If the weather cooperates I will be heading to Hot Rod and Hops over near Eleven Lakes Brewing in Cornelius tomorrow night.

Yeah yeah I know I am slacking on organizing things that is for sure.

Maybe put together a spring gathering at TMac in Southpark since we always used to do some gatherings at TMac for years when we did meets and I am kind of craving their Three Mile Island wing sauce. If there is a nice weekend day maybe even do something sooner. Need to get something on the long term calender though at some point so I can hopefully drag you back down this way.

I'm just giving you shit. VA is pretty dead too. I don't even remember the last time I went to C&C, but that's more because the guy running it here is a prick.

I'm down for a Spring meet, for sure. Might even be able to escape one weekend in the winter if the weather is good enough.

Awesome!

First one is always hit or miss. On one hand, we have people so excited to meet up again that we're thinking turnout will be awesome. On the other hand... March weather. So we'll see. I'll be there either way
