Another 7G 6MT owner on AcuraZine? SWEET .
It'll be the cheapest to insure, cheapest to maintain, maximum sleeper effect and has more room than any cars listed haha.
Congratulations!

Congratulations on the job that is, made it sound like I was congratulating you on getting a car
That would have been crazy if I still worked off Miramar Rd, we'd be neighbors during the day haha.

I still need to do my timing belt service, ugh. It's about a $500 job for labor from the dealership .

Negative boss. The 16th is my b-day, I'm not coming through. We could always get together some other time if ya' want though! . And by "we", I mean TylerT as well. Let's see what that Accord 6MT can do! I want to get it all on film if that's cool with you guys.
I drove my cousin's 5MT base '05 RSX all day today. That thing is gutless , but it handles like a dream compared to my pig of a TL. We had 4 grown men and a giant sub in the trunk. I was red-lining 1st and 2nd gear just to merge safely onto the freeway. After 4+hrs driving that thing around today, I got into my TL and had a new found respect for it. It's definitely not fast by any means, but it's no slow-poke either. It had a world's difference of torque compared to the RSX and the ride was a lot smoother and quieter. Still though, the TL rattles like a POS at 121,000 miles and the RSX is still as tight as a virgin at right under 95,000 miles. I only heard 1 rattle today and that wasn't the car's fault.
I hope the Type-S is a lot better than the base model, otherwise I don't think I'll be picking one up.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that in the RSX, at 75-80mph you're floating at about 3,000 rpm (I think) from what I remember. I noticed on the way on the way home from Temecula today that in the TL at 80mph you're between 2,250-2,500rpms cruising. BIG difference. I hope the 6th gear in the RSX-S addresses this issue.
Woot! I'm gonna' test drive a Z, S2000, and RSX-S this week. Gotta' find my new fun and reliable DD. As sad as it sounds though, I'll probably miss the TL. Anyways, I've gotten sick of reading reviews on each car online. I can't wait to actually go out there and test drive each one and formulate an opinion of my own on how these cars would work with my current lifestyle.

I doubt you'll like the z, they are way less comfortable than the s2k and will ride worse too. They also have REALLY bad gears. I'd either take the s2k or rsx-s

Your TL is pretty quick man, it's not slow by any means. I bet you'll like the RSX-S. It will be slightly tighter than the RSX-B and will haul much more ass

Yeah, I hope the RSX-S is wayyyyyyyyyyy faster than the base model. I was just in pure shock today at the lack of power through the entire powerband. The Type-S is also a looker if you ask me. I just worry about the lack of torque. But it looks good, has a 6MT, and gets great gas mileage from what I've heard. Plus, I think a few mods should help wake the RSX up.
I can't really comment on the S2000 thus far.. all I can really say is that it's probably the least likely to happen out of all the cars. My dad hates them and seeing as how he will be my co-signer, I don't see a S2000 in my future as of right now. Who knows, maybe after a test drive he'll change his mind.
As far as the 350z goes, idk man. I've always wanted one. Beautiful exhaust note, great torquey motor, 6-speed MT. I go through my phases where I love 'em and then where I'm indifferent towards them. But for the most part, I love 'em. I feel like it would be a lot better of a DD than the S2K as well due to the low-end grunt and extra space.
EDIT: If I had to rate them in order of most realistic, it'd be the following.
1) 2005-2006 RSX Type-S
2) 2003-2005 350z 6MT
3) AP1 S2000

The RSX-S is about 2 seconds faster to 60mph than the base, so you won't have to worry lol. The 350 is the kind of car that's fun to fuck around in, but after using it as a daily for awhile you will start to get annoyed about the features, lack of space, and harsh ride. Also, it's better to have a car with rear seats.
