Yes the owner was a master technican for Gardena Honda back in the days. Until he open up his own shop. But if you do go, go there EARLY because its always pack if you go on the weekend. It's good if you drop off your car and have a buddy pick you up and drive you back. If you go, ask for James he is the owner. Say Raymond sent ya.

Thanks, shot them an e-mail to see if they'd do bike parts. Another wheel refinisher place I tried said that they only do car wheels.

KB1Spec 07-26-2011 01:52 PM

Maybe try www.bowlsla.com they do some bikes there too.

Honda Z1 ATF has been discontinued. Might be hard to find now. It's been replaced by Honda DW-1 ATF.

It's compatible with Z1, so no worries there.

Here is another place in Alhambra - Hocks Honda
http://local.yahoo.com/info-20783147...Alhambra%2C+CA

I've been to Hock's and they do good work. Guy is very friendly too. They're always busy though and their shop is very cramped. Cars parked side by side.

I brought in all my 105k oem parts and they did the service for $200 flat. They even accept credit cards :-P

KB1Spec 07-29-2011 11:56 AM

I went to Hock once before I met James at SRS. I brought his Civic Si 17 years ago. So I've been going to SRS since.

Amazing. I wish I saw this sooner!

James is a nice guy! Really professional. Cool thing is, we're the same chinese (Toi-san) lol. After listening to his dad's voice, I knew immediately..

SO I just found out that my motor mount broke so he went ahead and fixed it for me.. Pad life is at approx. 5% left =\

SO I need new brake pads.. Does anyone know which brake pads give you the least amount of brakedust? I have the OEM Brembo 6MT brakes with HAWK HPS and the brake dust is horrible. I see it right after I wash the car...

KB1Spec 07-30-2011 11:15 AM

^.......U are Toi San too? LOL. Ya James is....very cool guy. He used to work on customer cars but since so busy and all, he had his mechanic do it. He usually QC before the cars leaves and if there anything needs to be fix or about to be fix he let you know ahead of time.

As far as brake pads.....try EBC..I heard it gives less brake dust...but I could be wrong.

onebadna1nsx 07-30-2011 04:15 PM

Anyone got hookups at AT&T? Feel like upgrading my internet.

yessir. lol. Yea, his guys are chill too, which was good. He did drive around my car as well before he handed it back to me..

Yea, I read about the EBC redstuff and people were saying ceramic's the best bet for low brakedust, but might wear down the rotors faster...

I might end up with HAWKS if that's the case...=\

What plan are you on now? How much do you pay?

Currently, they have DSL Elite (6.0 Mbps down) for $19.95/month which is not bad.

DSL Pro (3.0 Mbps down) is $14.95/month. That's what I have now.

If you're not on a contract with them anymore and you're paying more, call them up and ask for one of the rate specials. Ask to speak with someone from their retention dept. They're the ones who can do the deals.

I got DSL Pro last year when it was $24.95 for $14.95 that way.

You can also tell them that you can get a faster cable connection (Comcast for $29.95 @ 15 Mbps down; Charter for $29.99 @ 12 Mbps; Time Warner/Road Runner for $29.99 @ 10 Mbps, etc.) for a better price.

Tell them that you're thinking about canceling your service (if you're not on contract) for cable and you wanted to see what deals they have.

Call 1-800-288-2020 Monday through Friday 8 am to 7 pm, or Saturday 8 am to 5 pm.

mrtrojanap7 02-17-2012 06:13 PM

I know how to do low voltage electrical work. speaker wiring, tv cable, etc etc. Also can do standard voltage electrical work too.

Thanks for the SRS recommendation and the Hocks Honda recommendation. I'm going to go to one of those places to get my 105k service done.

LaJay007 02-17-2012 07:44 PM

I work at Sony Pictures and get a killer employee discount on Sony electronics. If anyone's in need of a new tv, camera, blu ray etc. drop me a PM and I'll give you my sonystyle.com log in for my employee pricing. They also offer great extended warranties where they come to you and fix it rather than you taking your lcd to them to get it fixed. You can come up to the sony lot in culver city or order over the internet and get free shipping. No, I don't get any sorta kickback either. Just wanna help hook up my socal people, cuz eventually I'll need help. i.e. installing my A-Spec soon!
