anyone up for a car meet and greet at a coffee shop or donut shop? my roommate recently is getting into the honda scene (he bought an 04 RSX) and has been modding his car rampantly in the last month since he bought it! he was never into cars whatsoever, but seems like he's in the garage everyday for hours tweaking or cleaning something about his car. i'd love to have him check out other people's cars and get more into the honda scene. could be fun... who is all down to meet up on a weekend morning or evening?? i'm located in Long Beach btw.

I'd be open to meeting sometime although I haven't done much to my car except for trying to keep it running and looking like new.

Yah, doesn't need to be nodded or anything. Just meeting others and having appreciation for our cars in good company is good enough. Which area are you in?

I’m in Gardena with a few v6, six speed accord coupes. One I just got (after my Sti was totaled) with 12k miles modded getting work done right now. We already have a 09 6MT modded as well. I started my8thgen.con with another guy years back. Been in oem auto advertising for 10+ years now and shoot myself the last 3. Let’s get a local meet going.

I was reading back the SoCal forum and yea, no shit. Kind of surprises me unless there is a forum I’m missing. When my8thgen was around we built up a local following with just accords on the forum fast and had meets with 20+ cars nearly every week. We caravanned to Acurafest in SF from LA with around 15 cars iirc. But that was around 8 years ago.

I still have my 2nd Gen TL Type S, its at 265K and the tranny just took a dump. I had plans to restore it
Does anyone know of a good tranny shop around 562 that will specifically do a 2002 Acura TL Type S? So Cal?
I think I might be a candidate to replace the trans for the 2nd time!!! (the first one was covered under warranty)
Today I just got CE light, and the code scanner just read P0730.
I just recently got the engine mounts and trans mounts replaced like 3 weeks ago (strange)
Also how much did you pay for the labor and part? Looking for cheap cheap, was hoping to restore the TL to pristine condition. So many memories with this bad girl.

I’m subscribed. I plan on posting fairly often as well. I’ll let folks know when I go on a photo shoot in advance if anyone wants to join me. I was the moderator 09cbp6mt on my8gen.com before it died. I started the forum.

I ran my8gen for the Honda accords around 8-10 years ago if anyone remembers that. I had meets at my house with 30+ cars. I’m surprised the local scene is pretty much gone now.

I think some of us older member grew out of it from going to any meets...
I remember we used to do a monthly or out of the blue meet back in the days with some veteran members here
