paint correction on a messed up 19 years old S13 was a bitch........
1 pass with aggressive wool pad + menzerna intensive polish
couple of passes with lake country orange pad and menzerna again
couple of passes with lake country white pad and menzerna PO85RD
finally a pass with menzerna sealing wax
all this and 20 minutes later, a near flawless quarter panel.

CPE only had rear motor mount for ms3 for the past 3 years, but they are now almost finished with side and front mounts look just like that.
I always love motor mounts. People who complaint about excessive vibration should just sell their cars and get the prius or something.
and i thought i was going to get massive vibration with my 75 duro rmm, but no...CPE did very good job on finding a sweet spot with it. slight vibration occurs only when i turn on the A/C hard, that's all.

get the 75...
yeah before installing my rmm and ssp with aluminum bushings, i occasionally grinded my 3rd gear going WOTing due to the pice of shit rubbery mount and bushings going apeshit, but now with these mods, I've never grinded any gears whatsoever going WOT. it's been over 3 months with these mods so far.
on top of all these, people change out the tranny fluid with some good ones... and it's just shifting

people who have never driven ms3 with rmm 75d always say the same thing josh.
it really doesn't vibrate much.
people who have rmm 75d never complaint about it.
did CPE say the tester was vibrating??

Installed the mounts finally. Finalized the bolt sizes and thread types for various components. Removed the factory mounts and put in the cp-e mounts. Since everything was digitized using our CMM Faro Arm - the billet housings and the steel plates lined up just right with all mounting locations.
The current durometer rating for our upgraded mounts (prototypes) is 45.
Took it for a drive
First thing I noticed is that duro of 45 seems to be more than enough for street/spirited driving use. The cold start was very firm and solid. The engine felt good and I felt like I had a better feel for the motor.
Put the car into reverse to back out of the shop, immediately felt the shifter sliding into R that much smoother and more solid. Engaged the clutch and backed out. The car had a slight vibration, but by far nothing that rattled the cabin or anything inside (and we have all the spare parts inside - so there is lots to rattle).
Shifted into 1st and drove on. The solid connection between the engine, transmission and the wheels felt real. There was great feedback through the whole drivetrain as I revved the engine and shifter into 2nd. I keep noticing how smooth, easy yet firm the shifts felt. Also noticed that the shifter does not move when in a gear and when the engine is loaded up.
Drove around a few times, the WOT runs felt just as strong and solid as the low speed. I had a better feel for the motor and a better feel for the power transfer to the wheels, having removed the flex in the engine mounting.
Overall - I am very impressed, suprized and satisfied - the work that has gone into making these right, and getting to finally test paid off.
So far I think the 45 is the best for those who drive daily - it provides a great, sporty feel for the car yet maintains civility inside the cabin for a comfortable ride.
My next test will be with the 60 durometer bushings - I am predicting that those will be best for those interested in a performance feel, perhaps those seeking to put down higher HP. Of course with that will be added vibration, but also a peace of mind that your engine wont flip out of the bay or break any lines.
I will look at the V6 tonight to see whats different (if anything and nothing should be).
Tomorrow I will strap the car to the dyno, heat up the engine to operating temp and get some video with the engine under load with both the cp-e mounts and factory mounts. It will be a good demo for those interested in seeing how much the engine really moves in there.

These mounts work AWESOME! I would recommend the 45-durometer mounts for those who DD their cars though, the 60-durometer mounts cause a good bit of vibration that may not be so DD friendly. Here's a few pics I snapped whilst the car was on the lift:
Even when we made 470+ft lbs of torque, the engine was nearly completely still! Driving the car, between the other modifications I have done and these motor mounts, the shifter feel is COMPLETELY different. Luke was very impressed at the improvement in the feel of the shifter when he drove my car. I'll be looking for the trans mount from Cp-e very patiently, this will complete the package! Thanks again Dmitry!

of course... all cars are definitely different...
my point is.. don't be the first one to get it. let other local gen coupe owners to test it out, test drive them all, and make your decision.
