Alright. The next track session is going to be on August 28-29 (Sat-Sun). However, if I go, I'll only be there for the 28th. The good thing about the 28th is that it will be a night run, from 4pm-12am.

This is good because I don't have to wake up @ 4am to make it to the track on time. Also, I can leave before midnight, so that my day/sleep schedule won't be messed up. It'll be like a normal day with a lot of driving, for me.

Guys who want to go can PM me, and I'll get them a discounted rate. Here's the link: http://speedtrialusa.com/

They have a semi-official cap of 25 per run group, FYI.

That's awesome. I'm going to know Friday when I have the lawyer, Geico regional manager, Acura regional manager, and the owner of the bodyshop I'm sueing all at the Acura dealer to determine what's going to happen. From there I'll have a timeframe but fully expect to have the work completed in the next 3 weeks or sooner. I forgot about this with all of the chaos going on with my car right now. I can't bring it to the track with 5 degrees of toe-in and a ton of toe in the rear too.

Please attend the August 28th speedtrials event! It's a special night session event with all the track lights! Very memorable event as one of the directors, Tommy, is leaving Speedtrials. I believe they are renting out a few of the tracks so we MAY have access to more than just one track, not completely sure yet. Would love to have you guys all come out!

I will SOOOO try my best to make this one. But I am weary about one thing. My tires are almost hitting the tire wear indicator. Will I pass tech?

The thing is, I don't have money to buy new tires and my current ones still have plenty of meat left. Damn

^ I meant plenty of meat left for daily driving. To me it seems little meat left for tracking, but plenty left for daily driving.

Sorry for the contradiction.

I see. Well, to be honest with you, you'll get better grip with thinner tread. Get your car teched ASAP, so that it has the most tread life. Then, drive on it until the track day?

This has me thinking now. My NT05s come with only 6/32 tread depth anyway and with the large blocks I don't think there will be a large difference. However, if all goes well in my meeting tomorrow and I get all 4 replaced for free, I may take the ones that are coming off the car and make them dedicated track tires. Only issue is the feathering on the inside edges of the rears. I'm not sure if that would make a noticable traction difference.

It might depending on how much speed you take into the turns, but you should be fine. When you go tech your car, make sure they know what kind of tires you have. Or...just tech it yourself, since you're out in the middle of...

You're going to need to tech the day of the track event, since there is no tech station near you. Also, make sure you tell them you drove from Bakersfield and they will waive your tech fee.

I'm pretty aggressive in the turns. I usually enter with a hint of understeer which quickly turns into oversteer and hit the throttle early when exiting so I have to use minimal steering correction. I'm very hard on tires which is why having this old set would be so nice.

Alright. I'm going to go to the track on 2/5/11.

This is a unique track day, because we get to drive on "BIG" Willow, not the "Streets". This is a great opportunity to take advantage of the big straight at Big Willow, because this only opens up about once, maybe twice a year.

Cost is normally $145 for the day. But, I've secured a discount with the people at Extreme Speed. If I get at least 5 people total to sign up, I can secure an even bigger discount than what I have now.

If you are interested, either post on here, or send me a PM (I will probably respond quicker to PM's), for the discount information.

Here is the website: www.extremespeedtrackevents.com

Here is the specific event date link: http://www.extremespeedtrackevents.c...y-register-now

I am in, with money ready, without concern for my tires or my car, since I probably do more damage to both during my daily commute.

No, I drive like an A-hole most of the time. I usually take ramps anywhere from 6-80 mph, and on freeway transitions I hit 90 and 100 much of the time.

Ok registered! I went for timing plus the full day instruction, because I have never been there and don't really want to do any turn 8/9 farming if possible.
