If you can afford, SnapOn, Mac.
Try Lowe's, Kobalt with 4 heads $15.00, lifetime Warranty, or if you want better quality try
KD with numerous tips $40. (I beleive I have both KD and SnapOn, no problems)

idk about best.. it's just a simple ass tool
but the ones I use have interchangeable ring prongs.. 2 straight with varying tip size and two angled with the same big / small tips.
the ones I have also are switchable from prying by squeezing or opening up.

Can't remember the brand and not in the garage right now, but pretty much the same as these channellocks

These pliers worked very well for removing snap rings on A/C Pulley.. it was real tight and very little room to maneuver.

I got a 4-piece set of (I think) Craftsman. They include straight and angled, and squeeze to open and squeeze to close.

But just from normal usage a couple times, I'm pretty sure the little tips are starting to bend. Which means it's a matter of time until they break off and render the pliers useless.

Maybe warranty-able?

But in the future, if I had to do it again, I'd probably go that removable/replaceable tip route.
