For sale are a set of 19x8.5 +40 Drag DR-37 rims (Matte Black finish) with Falken FK-452 235/35/ZR19 tires. They were balanced about three month ago. Pictures show tread depth. A couple of tires show inside edge wear (my TL was lowered on H&R Sport Springs – no rear camber kit – 15mm Ichiba spacers on the rear). I owned the tires/rims for about a year-and-a-half and approximately 11K miles (I do not recall the mileage on the tires when I purchased them). Tires were rotated three times while I had them, and aligned twice. I'm not able to accurately gauge remaining tread life, so I will omit from making any guesses other than to say that I could probably get another year (8k) out of them based on my driving style/habits (the car was not driven much - a 2005 sold with 55k on it).
The rims are in good condition. I bought them used from a member on this forum. There is some curb rash on one of the rims (Wheel 4 in the pictures - cut a curb too close), but it is barely visible from a few feet away (it removed the matte black finish, but I just went back with a black Sharpie from time-to-time and you can hardly notice it – in the Wheel 4 pictures below, it is pretty noticeable due to the picture being taken around noon on a sunny day; plus it had been awhile since I colored it in with a Sharpie). The inside edges show signs of being scraped – not sure how this happened as I was always very careful with the rims when laying them down. These rims sell for between $180 and $200 a piece (online, depending where you look - $180 x 4 = $720). Drag lists these rims weighing in at only 27lbs a piece. No TPMS.
One tire unfortunately has a puncture in the very outside tread block (the “unrepairable” zone); tire shops cannot patch here due to the proximity of the sidewall (so I have been told), and they will not use plugs. I didn’t notice the puncture until after I had removed the wheels from the car and was prepping them for sale (as I am writing this, I can't recall which "wheel" in the pictures below has the puncture - it's one of them). I suspect I was riding around with the screw in the tire for some time. The screw was backed out, so it cannot be “threaded/tightened” back in – the tire will not hold air. A plug would probably fix it, but I do not believe it is up to me to plug a tire when plugs are considered to be a “temporary and short term fix” (I take no responsibility for tire failure/damage should buyer decide to plug tire and tire prematurely fails).
The rims DO include the hubcentric ring. Lug nuts are NOT included (I used Gorilla Small Diameter Lug Nuts (black) - http://www.gorilla-auto.com/small-diameter-lug-nuts-page-02).
I would prefer local buyers, but will ship at buyer’s expense (would look into using Shipnex to ship – you yourself can check shipping prices with your favorite shipper to your zip code to get an idea of the cost – wheels would be coming from the 33606 zip code). Will sell as a set of 4 only (no splitting). I will consider selling the rims only (but will probably just scrap the tires unless there is a strong desire to buy).
Tires & Rims - $500 + shipping (that’s $150 per 19x8.5 rim and $40 per 235/35/ZR19 tire (three tires – not pricing the tire with the puncture))
Shots of the wheels on the car are courtesy of PredatorBird, von5t3R, Grey Gonzalez, and JohnieG87. From these distances, any imperfections are barely (read “not”) noticeable. These are great looking rims that always get a lot of great compliments.
