Arrow KONI SUSP PACK (SP3 shocks, Type S 6MT springs, Type S top hats, etc.,)

Category: Steering & Suspension
Price: $600
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G, Other Honda/Acura
Location (State/Prov/Terr): NY
Item Condition: Used

Up for sale- complete Koni suspension package. It's in excellent condition with less than 10K miles of use. It consists of the rare Koni SP3 shocks, OE TL Type S 6MT coil springs, OE TL Type S top mounts/hats, rubber bumpers, boots, etc. The shocks were properly broken in -1000 or so miles of driving on the softest setting. The suspension is fully assembled and ready to be installed. I'm including all necessary hardware for installation and adjustment that came with Koni shocks.

This is a very robust and versatile set up. Wether you want a stock ride height or a lowered look, a stock-like shock firmness or a race-like setting, you can set it up whichever way fits your driving style/environment best. I used it on my 5AT 3G TL daily driver with great success. The suspension is still set up to my former settings: softest rebound and lowest spring perch position. The ride height was a little lower than what you get with the A-Spec suspension. Non-scientifically speaking, approx. 2-finger tire to fender gap all around, with a slight front rake. The ride quality was more compliant than what I recall the A-Spec suspension provided, both highway and street driving. Feel free to ask any question! Thanks!

Compatibility: 3G TL/Type S (complete), 7G Accord V6 (shocks and springs) and 1G TSX (shocks)

Payment: Paypal or Cash

Location: NY 10303

I might split the system if there's enough interest in separate components, otherwise, I'd prefer to sell it as a whole.

Does these suspension provide any lowering of the TL? Are you willing to ship them? I will provide the prepaid shipping label from FedEx, I would need you to prepare package carefully for shipping. Let me know.

Thanks.

Sounds like a nice setup. Just curious, so with these shocks (the Koni SP3's), you can use your OEM springs and still adjust your ride height? I have an 08 Type S 6mt and would like to lower it maybe just a little. Also, with these the ride firmness is adjustable?

Can you post a picture of your car with these installed? The one you have above is too small to even see lol.

Yes, as it's set up right now the ride height will be about one inch lower than stock. For perspective, it's a little lower than the A-spec suspension. Ride height increase/decrease is adjustable via 5 spring perch positions. Right now the springs are positioned on the lowest perch( bottom perch)=maximum lowering.

Your shipping arrangement should work. I always take great care in packaging and shipping my items. PM or email for details! Thanks

Thanks for the info. Ok I see the pics bigger now for some reason my newly updated internet explorer was opening the thumbnail and was no bigger than the original. I had to turn off some popup thing. Weird, but anyway got it now thanks.
I still dont completely understand how you can use an OEM spring and have height adjustability. Thats pretty sweet! How was the ride quality could you make it ride like stock if wanted? I dont want to change my ride necessarily I still want it to be comfortable. I have an 08 Type S 6mt.
Also, why are you selling?

James

I'm using Safari, you click on a thumb and another window opens with a larger pic in it, you click on the pic yet again to supersize it. Glad it worked out for you!

I PM'd you on this, the height adjustability is provided by the 5 steps/grooves on the shock's body. You can move the springs perch (cir-clip) along those grooves to decrease or increase your ride height. I kept the rebound on the softest setting (turn the knob to adjust) and the ride quality was like-stock. Still comfortable but with better than stock damping.

Too many parts here, going back to stock.
