18" TL A-Spec Wheels w/TPMS
18" TL A-Spec Wheels w/TPMS
I'm selling the 18" A-Spec wheels from my 2006 TL 6MT as I bought a 2010 TL SH-AWD 6MT. These wheels have a different bolt pattern and will not fit the new TL. The Acura part number for these wheels is 08W18-SEP-200G (Silver Sparkle finish) and should fit any 3G TL. I can't guarantee fitment, so be sure to check to see if they will fit your car.
The wheels are in excellent condition, like brand new. I only ran them the past two summers and they are super clean, straight, no curb rash or scratches. The tires are Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 235/40ZR18 , but there's really not much tread left.
I paid $1500 for them new in 2008 but I'll sell them for $1250 for (they sell as a set as I don't want to split them up). I would prefer to sell to someone local (Denver, CO) as shipping can be a bit of a hassle. I would consider shipping though if there is enough interest.
Larger more detailed pictures can be seen on My Flickr page.
If interested or if you have questions, feel free to send me a PM.
Thanks,
Stuart

I'm down on the south side Parker/Aurora, but if interested we could meet halfway or so.

I haven't seen them that cheap with TPMS and in as good condition as these. I've seen some for around $1100, but they look like they've been dragged face down across the pavement. The brand new ones I've seen were priced around $1400-1500.
I think this is a fair price for wheels in excellent condition with TPMS. Granted the tires are pretty much worn out, which is why I'm not looking for a higher price.

We finally got some decent weather after the snowstorm so I'm hoping to get some clean pics shortly.
I think they make the 3G TL look really good, much nicer than the stock 17" wheels.

I guess I missed the title where it says sensors included. FYI: FindlayAcura has the ebony with caps and sensors for $1,100 shipped and will do the same deal for the sparkle silver. DCH Acura of Temecula has a set of silver with caps(not sure about sensors) for $1,130 shipped as well. These are of course brand new in the box. I'm not knocking your price, but the only ones that seem to go for more than $1200 are the rare '04 version.
GL with sale...they are pretty much mint.

Those '04 gun metal A-specs were hard to find as I looked for a while, but didn't have any luck. I'm still comfortable with my price as they do include tires, even if they only have a little life left.
Thanks! I couldn't find anything stating the TPMS was thrown in at no cost on Findlay's site & DCH didn't have the sensors included. I've seen some places charging anywhere from $30-50 per sensor. Still not bad prices. I've seen prices alot higher as well, for the same wheels and in good to fair shape.

I can't decide if I want to keep with my 18" Ron Jon Inspyres or go with the oem Aspecs. Good luck with sale.

When I saw these wheels (from link I posted) in person I was beyond impressed. No curbage, no dings, no marks...the wheels were honestly in perfect condition. Even the inner portion of the wheels were beautiful! They were also were re-powder coated in a custom color which actually complements my AM perfectly. Member 04 tl told me that the custom powder coat was around $650 I believe.
On top of all this, they were wrapped in Yokohama Avid W4S with 3,500 miles on them (I'd say about 9/32 or 90% tread left). These tires alone cost over $600. Adding tax, mounting, and all other charges I'm sure member 04 tl payed in the $700-$800 range for them.
I bought the wheels at the end of Sept. for $1300. That's less than the tires and powder coating costs alone. Just to give everyone something to compare to.

By comparison your deal is very sweet. Rare gunmetal A-spec with about $600 cost of tire only cost you $1300? That's mean the gunmetal a-spec (wheel) only cost $700?
On the other hand, this silver a-spec cost $1250 with TPMS.
Hmm...interest

meowevil: I thought the deal was pretty sweet myself
TheChamp531: The wheels did have curbage beforehand, but that's not a problem anymore! Btw, how much did you get your wheels for?
Regardless, GLWS StuartMMVITL!

Just a bump and a change in price to get these out of my garage.
I'm looking for $1100 (plus shipping if you're not local to Denver), but I'm open to reasonable offers. I'll probably have the tires taken off as they are right at the wear bars, which is 2/32" or less of tread left.
Plus it would be alot less to ship without the tires. I think shipping costs to be around $150.
If you're interested send a PM...
Thanks,
Stuart

It very well could be, but that will depend on where it's shipped to. I'm estimating the cost on the high side to be safe.
The weight of the wheels/tires and packing will bring it to a total of 150lbs. A quick check on the UPS site shows charges (from CO to NY) of $130 for ground,
$300 for 3 day select, and they go up from there to as much as $700 for overnight.
So it's not too far off, although shipping to a closer location will reduce the costs.

Alright, price break for the holiday season.
I'll let these go for an even $1000 local pickup or $1100 shipped (within the US/lower 48 states). I need to cover the $1000 I just paid for new Dunlop snows for the 2010 TL.
I'm taking the tires off this weekend, which will get shipping costs down to about $100-130 to most places in the country.
They'd make a nice holiday present for your car!

Width = 8"
Diameter = 18"
Bolt Pattern = 5x114.3
Offset = 45
Checking the 2G Wheels/Tires forum I found this info below for the 2G TL. So it definitely looks like they will fit as they have the correct bolt pattern. If you're interested PM me to see if we can work out the details.
All,
When purchasing rims for a car, there are several specifications to ensure a good 'fit' (ie no need to do any fender mods).
1) rim size
2) rim width
3) offset
4) bolt pattern
Rims range from 16" to 19" for our cars. Any smaller and they won't clear the OEM calipers. Any larger and you will have issues with 'rubbing'. I'm sure someone will say, "I got [XX] size to fit", but seriously -- look at their setup and most will not find that look very appealing.
Rim width and offset go hand-in-hand. Depending on your rim width, you have to watch the offset. The wider the rim, the higher the offset (so it doesn't rub up against the wheel well or plastic tabs of the fender when you hit a bump).
Our TL/TLS come with 6.5" rims with +55 offset, made my Enkei. General rule (but not always the case since there is some variation among manufacturers):
7" rim = +42 offset
7.5" rim = +45 offset
8" rim = +48 offset
> 8.5" rim ... forget it unless you wanna do some custom bodywork for it to fit.
This is only a guideline, not an end-all, be-all. Those who have done suspension work may have to find a higher offset than that posted to make sure their application will not have any problems.
Lastly, bolt pattern -- our cars have 5x114.3JJ bolt pattern. Luckily, many rim manufacturers make this bolt pattern but offset will be your limiting factor.

I have removed the tires and have the wheels boxed & ready to ship. If you're local I'll take $900. If you want to have them shipped, PM me and we can work out a deal.
They are in perfect condition & come with the Acura TPMS sensors installed.
I'd like to get them sold before the holidays.
