can you post some pictures of the last set? the cr-kai...how long have you had these?

the CR-Kai's have about 5k miles on them since i switch over to my OEM wheels on winter.

 

Also interested in the CR Kais, i'll wait for the pictures this weekend. Do they come with tires or just Rims? Where in NY you located, I'm in queens.

would 245 40 19 fit the XC8?

 

The 245 is better suited for 9in width wheels, although some would prefer a 35series, but 40 would give you plenty of protection.

Work XC8..flat semi deep face?

 

the fronts have an offset of +45 so they're close to flat, but clears the Brembos. the rears are +35 and have semi-concavity.

Do the matte bronze ones 18 by 8.5 clear the brembos?

VERY tempting.

 

They cleared my Wilwood BBK in the TSX. I believe if you have the OEM TL Brembo's they should clear it since i had plenty of space in mine.

Update: Pending sale on the Work VS-KF & CR-KAi

 

so what is a good tire size for the vs-kf ? 215-40-18 and maybe strech the rear a little for a perfect tsx fitment?

 

id say 215/40 front and 225/40 rear.. should be about the same amount of stretch.. at least thats what i would have done if i would have bought those..

I keep coming back to this thread. If only tax returns were a little closer.

Some things I'm toying with in my head...
what size tire would be recommended for the XC8's? since offsets are different f/r then there is no rotating, right? I would have to have a shop swap them from rim to rim (assuming I get the same tire for both rims)...
No fender rolling or anything? I'm on TEIN SS's with -2 camber rear right now and about a tight finger gap.

Just trying to make an intelligent decision here.

I would go with 225/40/18 on all of them so you have the ability to rotate your tires.

But just like what Mista Juice had said, you can go with 215/40/18 on the
fronts and 225/40 on the rears to give that better look.

hey J,

I recommend going with 235/35/19 for all 4 wheels. Just like what you said, you have the ability to rotate your tires, plus this would work to your advantage (especially on the rears) since you're lowered with Tein SS's to prevent rubbing.

If you want, PM me your wheel info and i'll do some calculations to see how much you would need to adjust your height and camber settings to prevent fender rolling, AND rubbing; also to prevent cluttering of this thread.

Yes the CR-Kai's are still available. It should fit your TL without a problem because the offsets are not that aggressive.
