Looks like fun. How hard did you flog the M and did you bring an extra set of tires?

no I didn't bring extra tires and I flogged the M pretty hard

I'll just beat the hell out of these for a while and when I buy new tires I'll also buy a track set of wheels and tires. I've got my eyes open for a decent set of 18" take offs

A good time was had by all. My buddy had his 400mm lens out there. I can't wait to get the pics from him. The M roadster had sketchy tires on it when he got there, by the time our 3 hours were up, he was worried about making it home. The rubber was falling off in chunks. After the day was over, my friend went straight home with the 350z to start his twin-turbo install. Pics soon to come on that. I didn't drive as much as everyone else as I was whipped-out tired. I had worked all night and had been up about 30 hrs by the time we got to the track.

I have a clear bra, that may help some. They swept the track right before we started. They also have a 1/4 mile strip, we were gonna make a couple passes before we left but we were all pretty tired, most of us work together and we had a really busy week. Nobody around here uses blue tape that much. They guy with the black z-06 gets a new vette about every 18 months, so he doesn't care LOL.

FWIW, the cost was reasonable. $200 hr. Came out to $60 a person.

Does he love taking a depreciation hit for someone else on Corvettes every 1.5 years or something? What's the point of buying the same exact car every year and a half?

Not leased, pays cash. Actually the z-06 he has now, he has had almost 2 yrs.
Up until about a year ago, he daily drove his vettes to the tune of 30k a year. He gets all his cars for invoice minus rebates. He is very good friends with a chevy dealer and thats all he buys. He has sold hundreds of cars for the dealer, including to me. When he gets to about 50k, he calls up the dealer, tells them what he wants, they order it. When it comes in, they bring it to his house(about 70 miles) and pick up his old car. After 2 or 3 days a fed ex envelope arrives at the house with all necessary papers, he signs, writes a check for the difference and is done. There are about a hundred partners in our company and we buy a lot of cars.

Track rash FTW. Nice rides, I'm jealous of the rides and the track day.

Glad to see them getting flogged as they should

Holy cow that's cheap. Wish there was a track like that near me, if so I'd have a weekend funster by now.

no, they didn't even check for driver's licenses LOL. You normally have to pay $40 an hour for a EMT to stand by but they couldn't get one and they let us by without it because there was a first responder there on staff. Also had to have a helmet.
