Vtec Controller

I just tried searching for this, but came back with zero results.

So does anyone know of a vtec controller that anyone makes? I remember a friend of mine said that his brother had one for his Prelude, so just curious if it would even be worth it or not? If anyone has any info on how it does work or a link to one I'd be interested to know.

Also my 07 TL is bone stock, w/5AT.

Thanks in advance.

why do you need vtec to come on any earlier?
Its set on the spot where torque is about to jump up!

if you lower the vtec range on a stock untouched motor you will actually result in a brief delay in rpms... try it out, you'll see

go to: boomslang.us
have them make a harness for the controller of your choice (if you need a vafc I know someone who has one for cheap)

vafc's are only useful after you have all the bolt ons

if your gonna lower vtec on a stock engine, your just wasting gas

I didn't realize that all it did was just control when the Vtec came on. I was under the impression that you could tune the fuel curve and other stuff like that. Ok guys, I guess it's out of the question then. Thanks for the info!

You're actually right, if you're talking about the Apexi VAFC (Vtec Air Fuel Control) You can mess with the Vtec and A/F ratio. You gotta be quite experienced to be messin with it or at least tune it in a dyno. If not, not suggested.

remove the lower intake resonator box- and install a K&N air filter
Thats a decent first mod for better vtec performance

I think you would have had pistons going though your hood at around 8K... if you could get it to 25K you'd be floating away either up or down.

Joking aside, if you are going to just drop vtec to 2500, why not just buy a set of aggressive cams and eliminate vtec completely. That way you will always have that aggressive setting that vtec provides.
