Sorry about the image compression. I forgot I had the camera on low quality. Booo. Now the weather clouded over. You have to click again (once and then again) on the photo to make it its biggest.

She was $33500 CDN before tax. So that -$1000 for our old Intrepid (was totally broken) plus 7% GST , I paid $34775.

The price was $34900 sticker. I also got them to throw in the spoiler ($780 or something), locking wheel nuts + block heater + rear mud flaps (~$250), plus free oil change for life card that they sell for $300.

I agree, I really loved the LED's on the 06. They also get extra sound deadening, oil life monitor, and outside temp guage and maint. minder over the 05's. Even though I coulda got a killer deal on an 05, I decided the 06 was way better.

I just realized I shoulda cleaned it up better. The exhaust doesn't look as good as it could have because it's covered in dirt. But I doubt I woulda made it home from the car wash without getting dirty since the roads are semi wet in areas.

I love the J30A4, it's a really nice, efficient engine. I'm getting the advertised fuel economy. FYI the 6MT sedan is not available in Canada.

I don't have time to sell it yet. But I will. Her poor transmission was well on its way out. No more automatics for me. Too boring. But I loved that car.

Cars and boats/ships are always the female gender historically. Somehow it seems more fitting. I either refer to the car as it or her. Usually the former.

leaving the first gen club.....traitor!

j/k. if your Honda your family. I've got a 95 accord coupe in addition to the TL and love it. But you 06 coupe, 6mt at that, is fantastic. I love the rear quarter few, and with the LED tails its lookin awesome.

You said you we're getting good gas mileage - what kind of figures are we talking about? Any thoughts/comparisons regarding handling and power?

Good move on the 06 vs the 05... It's so much better looking from behind.

edit: not trying to sound dirty or anything... sorry.

We're talking between 11.6L/100km and 11.2L/100km (those were my first two fill-ups). That would be...let's see...20.2mpg and 21mpg respectively. This is during full city driving with a lot of starts and stops and short trips. My longest trip so far has been 12.8km (or about 8 miles).

I haven't taken it out on the highway yet.

I thought you were thinking of a TSX???

Nonetheless, that Accord is beautiful and performance wise, would KILL a TSX. Congrats!!!!

As far as handling and power and other comparisons:

Compared to the 1st gen 2.5TL:
-Accord handles WAY better
-Ride is smoother and more comfortable
-Less body roll
-WAYYY faster, like there's not even a comparison

Compared to 6MT TSX:
-TSX is significantly better handler
-Accord's seats are more comfortable for me (a little wider)
-Accord is more powerful by a lot
-TSX has the slightly better transmission feel
-TSX is more luxurious
-Accord has a more comfortable ride
-Similar city fuel economy (but Accord V6 does it on regular)
-TSX has LESS understeer by a fair bit

TSX to old 2.5TL:
-TSX is faster, more luxurious, handles so much better it's not even funny

I was, but if you read an earlier post in this thread I made, the TSX was too much money.

Congrats, can't possibly go wrong with an Accord.

Only thing I don't like are the gauges. Not sporty enough.

Very nice!

Question, what makes you feel that the TSX is more luxurious? (I'm really asking) I'm starting to wonder more and more HOW much different is the US Accord interior to the TSX's, esp after looking at your pics... I mean, I knew that at least 70% of the compoents are similar, if not the same. Aside from the whole dash that feels a little cheaper on the Accord and perforated leather on the TSX, everything is pretty much the same...

I own a TSX and I'm starting to wonder... I mean, I did get the TSX with this in mind: I'm paying a few thousands more for a better handling and better looking (vs the Accord sedan) car. I do feel more luxury when I'm in the TSX compared to my friend's Accord, I just wonder what's giving this impression...
