No worries, you've gotten some major progress done on the interior, which is impressive enough in itself!

Funny you should suggest that type of a project.......

Andrew, if there was a 4 door Coupe version of the CL, I am sure if would do just fine on it's own.

OP, every time I look at the bits and pieces in your interior.......whoa....can't even imagine trying to put that all back together. Much respect to you.

Looks like it came from the factory like that, which, of course it should have, and is the point.

HOw?

Bro how you make that fit? I'm having issues with my 18x8 +35 neoz wheels.215/40/z18 I had to take the rear wheels off because it would rub too much in the rear. attempted to roll the fender but didn't work. I cut the tabs in the front and it still rubs, only on sharp turns. btw I have a 2.5f & 2.25r drop. any advise, or what did you do?Thanks.

It wasn't easy, being that my tires are stretched tho it made it a little more easy, now I did take a sanding pad on my grinder and sand down the back corners where the body meets the bumper, it seemed to work well but I still had to get camber kits for both front and rear, and on the front I spaced out the fender a little with washers. You might can tell from some pics I've put up but that does help a good bit as well, and with the front camber kit I'm running full negative lock on the ingalls kits. Don't remover the numbers tho 😅

MidoriTL, I saw a similar one of those Toyo Tundra's shown in post #248 you parked next to in my local area today. As soon as I recognized the 'color' it reminded me of this thread, lol. In person, the color looks suite!

So, what's the status on your 3.5 6-speed swap? It's been kind of quite in here, just curious.

Working on the wiring. Really need some solid direction on what others have done to get it to work and have full functioning rear doors and tail sections, while using the front half of the cl wiring.

I have an 02 TL. If you want to retain 100% OEM functionality, you really must buy the Electrical troubleshooting manual for both the TL and CL cars. Honestly, I wouldn't consider the swap without them.

Once you get the car started, I can help you fix the wiring stuff. I would just focus on getting the car running first. If you have an 02 TL like me, then a bunch of stuff won't work initially. The rear tails and the fuel level sender have a ground that won't earth. You will have to splice that to a constant ground. Just a bunch of simple stuff like that, but you will need the electrical diagrams.

Congrats to you on your successful 3.5 6-speed swap. In the next few months, when time/money allow for it, consider installing a set of 6-speed headers, like XS-P or Manzo, to really wake up that J35A1.

All that hard work will pay off. Kudos man!

Out of curiosity, what made you choose Buzzmat vs. other brands? I'm looking to do my trunk soon

i work at The Speakerbox in huntsville as shop manager and we carry the metra brand ballistic and that stuff is pretty decent but we had ordered some buzzmat on the cheap to try it out. it seemed to stick and stay stuck better but we ended up not switching so i got the last little bit we had to do my floor since i had the carpet out lol its all really the same stuff though to be honest lol and you can buy stinger or ballistic bulk packages cheap online

Does anybody have a link to a decent sized full exhaust, all I can find is the ws2 apexi system but plenty of others for 04-08 tl's not much for the 2nd gens.

Are you looking to spend almost $1K? If so, then XLR8 has a Tanabe Medalian Exhaust:

T70078 - Tanabe Medalian Exhaust - Medalion Touring - Excelerate Performance - European, Exotic and Japanese Performance Specialists!!

Otherwise, you can get an initial set of Manzo headers for $125 + shipping:

I know late question to your build, but how do you like the ff coils? I'm looking at the type 1s but read mixed reviews on az. I mostly just like how those come with the top hats and don't need to mess with spring compression. Also, color scheme matches my brake calipers vs the Teins.

I love my coilovers. They ride really well. And no I've always had a stock exhaust but I'll prolly do a custom 3in exhaust
