Hello all, I just purchased a used 2014 RLX (woot!) and am new to the forums.
I was eager to try out the USB flash drive playing MP3 option, but it keeps telling me that "No Data" is found when I try out a drive full of MP3s.
I've searched around here, and the best I could find was manually format the drive with FAT32 and you should be ok.
I've tried FAT32 with a 16gb drive and FAT with a 2gb drive.
Still no luck.
Does the unit only see MP3s if they are a certain bit rate / size? I couldn't seem to find much on the web or here, perhaps I just didn't know where to look?
Sorry that I cannot be much help but justwanted to reply to your post. I have used a couple different USB drives and all have worked without any problems playing MP3s. I do not do anything fancy, just convert YourTube videos to MP3s so I doubt that there is any special settings that you must adhere to.
You may want to take to the dealership to look at.
As TSX69 said, there is nothing special that you need to do. Best to format using FAT32, copy your MP3s on it, plug it into the USB port. Switch the audio source to USB, and the music should play.....
Yeah, it not doing that. Looks like its time to schedule an appointment with service.
Also, has anyone ever tried to plug in one of those Western Digital passbook mini hard drives to the USB port? I have one at home that runs completely off of USB and is 300GB in size.
