I later texted my nephew (he bought it) and complimented my ability to nail the offsets so well when I ordered those Forgestars almost six years ago. I did feel a pang of sadness and remorse, but the M240i is just incredible in every regard except steering feel. One thing I don't miss about the TL is the high speed handling. Still hope it stays in the family for quite awhile longer.
The TL is a bit soft for high speed turns, but really how often are we doing anything like that in daily driving? I drive 23 miles on the turnpike every day and even then I hardly experience body roll. The 328i coupe I have is a bit stiffer and great at those speeds, but it is a lot more harsh for low speed, city driving, tight turns etc. They are both good, but the TL has a lot more comfortible seat. If the e92 had just a tad softer suspension, better steering at low speeds, and a more plush seat it would be a better daily. I find the new BMW seats to be too thin. I also have a 1999 e46 and the seats in that are a bit better. Holy cow tho the e46 is like being in the stone ages compared to my TL.

I think that the love for the 3G's well-placed, but I thought that a little hit-and-run would be entertaining!

And no, I don't come here to try and persuade you guys that the 4G was better. You should, IMO, take pride in your car, and drive it until the wheels come of!

Have my 05 manual trans since new, now over 175K miles. Looked at something new but didn't like anything (closest I saw was the accord 2.0T with MT) or I could not justify the $$.
So took the old girl for a spa day (actually spa month)

repainted wheels
Repainted front calipers
Repainted steering wheel
Wrapped center console trim
Replaced stock radio and failed HFL with Pioneer head unit
Replaced stock shift knob
Replaced stock shift/brake boots

Figure she's good for another 100K and saving $500.00 a month in my pocket.

Nice job, I really like what you did with the radio that's a great choice.

Wired the preamp outputs to the stock amp. Sounds better than stock to me. Also able to keep the nav up all the time although you do lose the voice commands.
