Another shortshifter and torque damper review!

So I just picked up an 07 type s 6mt about a month ago. Stock shifter felt fine but I just like the feel of a shortshifter for everyday driving. This was more involved than other short shifter I've installed but the end result is awesome. I bought the comptech kit and also the xlr8 torque damper. With both items installed the car shifts better and it seems like the power is transferred to the wheels faster with the damper. Thanks xlr8 I'm liking this mod so far. Next to be done is the clutch slave cylinder check valve delete along with a stainless steel clutch line

I will definitely do that. I need to insert a couple washers on the top bolt also because the damper can still wiggle a little.

Thanks for the good picture and the little write up, your support is much appreciated!

The check valve delete is a good little mod (who doesn't love free things!), and you can find a stainless steel clutch line on our site here whenever you're ready: HNC-009 - Techna-Fit Clutch Lines - Excelerate Performance - European, Exotic and Japanese Performance Specialists!!

Good luck and happy modding! Congrats on the new car as well

no metal dust shield on the halfshaft covering the output seal thats strange...def use thread locker i have the same mount and eventually after many cycles you will feel a "crunch" with a snap of the throttle in first. its the hardware getting loose and happened to me twice already. otherwise a great mount.

Yeah I am not sure what is missing on this car, Ill have to take this off soon and use some Loctite. So far I like it and the woman says its easier to drive. Cannot wait to do the clutch check valve delete.
