FuckJoe, that's why you make the big bucks, man.
Oh, started Ozark last night. We love it so far...

lil J's house got hit by lightning...hdmi ports on all her tv's cooked...along with the cable and wifi.

I noticed a scorch mark on the hose reel outside and some molten metal explosion marks...I was like, whoah...that was the exit point.

no kidding...
Johnny, I thought there were...but apparently not...comcast guy said lightning once hit NEAR his truck and it rendered all the HDMI ports on all the boxes IN his truck useless...they are so sensitive.

Lightning ain't no joke...I was working a pole once a year and a half ago...hit a few poles down, felt a buzz in the device I was holding. Shit my pants. Never again...I put up my lightning detector and if it says there's one within 17 miles...I ain't getting out of the truck, boys. Fire me.

Well, technically, that's what a circuit breaker is for.
And guess what breaker was tripped...
That damn lightning must have been traveling at the speed of...well...

Also.. the energy can completely bypass the surge protector.
Surge protector can actually be fine functionally but fucking brick whatever is connected to it.

I worked on a trail crew in the back country one summer. We were out repairing a trail, digging out rocks and junk. Well, a storm started rolling in and we were up around timberline. A little bit of rain never hurt anyone, and we were supposed to work rain or shine so keep on keeping on.

Well, I'm trying to pry out this huge rock and am beating the hell out of it with this 6-foot long pry bar. I lift it up over my head to get another blast straight down into the dirt for a good deep pry, riiiiiight as lightning hits a tree directly across the trail. All I remember is bright light, hair tingling, and a vibration down the bar and through my arms.

I went back to camp after that and crawled into my sleeping bag. Because fuck that. Cheated death == nap time. And a good cry.

Same exact thing happened to my residence on 17 July 17. Just about one minute before the flash/boom of the lightning, I was able to get the breakers for the HVAC heat pump/air handler turned off, thank God it did not fry the motherboard on the b*tch (less than 18months old).

Took the cable box back and copped a Samsung UN55MU6300FXZA for $749.99 shipped and all is well.

West Pines, baby...straight gangsta...
Well, I'm in Weston, but most of the time, I'm in Pines
Fuck, you have good premonitions, huh...shut off the breakers ahead of time before the lightning!
Funny enough, I don't think we were home...we were out and about galavanting.

Is Taco really posting elsewhere? I saw that he was visiting some nice mountains or something in the last week with his JizzyMobile. I found it odd that he had a family emergency. Curious to know how everything is going.

Guys, I need help... I had the struts out in the RDX, and had the driver window, I guess it's like a mount or bracket for the glass, checked... The dealer sent it to a local glass shop to replace some clips that I think my local Acura dealer intentionally broke... Well, my door locks are clicking like crazy again... I JUST had the actuator replaced last week... For god sake!!!

LOL, luckily enough, I was not touching the breakers when it hit; however, when you see the flash and hear a sizzling ssssnaaaap/BOOM, all at the same time, you know that sh*t is literally right on top of you.

To say the least, I'll take the small sacrifice of the TV compared to a 35 year old 1+ ton water oak tree or limb penetrating the roof any fn day, hehe.

Im not posting nearly as much, anywhere, to be honest. I do still read about cars and trump though. I just tend to stay away from here because i dont need my balls being busted for whatever reason is all. I know. #pussy

Dont worry, if you're on a wooden pole () you'd be ok. Its only the metal poles () in a lightning storm that are dangerous. I was told so.
