Put cone there to hold up lip lol did NOT run it over (YET)JK

I could be wrong, and others that know better will chime in, but I think you may have some big issues getting that to work. I'm not sure I have seen someone do it without switching to 07-08 type-s bumper. By the way that lip is an 07-08 type-s a-spec lip.

better break out the dremel and measuring tape for this project, that definitely wont fit without modding it

The aftermarket Type-S A-Spec lips have arrived.

What you need to do is dremel the grill opening wider. After that, it will fit.
