Love the wheels. All you need is some window tint now

Yeah, I'm looking in to that as well of course. NY tint laws changed and I had to have the tint pulled off the windows of my 530 so it could pass inspection yesterday. It had 35% tint, it's now 30% max in NYS.

That looks amazing. A drop and some tint would finish it off well. That is too bad there are no good options for a drop right now.

Thanks a lot guys, appreciate it. Wish list: CF mirror covers, lower (?), CF chin spoiler, tint, rear reflectors replaced with body-colored reflectors like the ones in front of the front fenders.

It's just a couple inches longer than a 5 series actually. It looks that way because of the long nose and short tail

Looks nice, awesome car. personally i would have done a bright silver finish, i think all black wheels lose the definition of the wheel design a bit.

you can afford HRE... those should not be on your wish list, instead those are on your to do list.

Took a 200 mile round trip down the NYS Thruway today to Erie and the ride quality is 1000% better than stock. I should've spent this money 2 years ago. Those god damn run flats are loud and harsh and I'll never put them back on my car again if only because of the added cost differential. The car is quiet, rides smooth, you don't get jarred over the tiniest of imperfections and it's just a lot nicer feel through the wheel. I should have weighed the stock wheel/tire combo vs. what I replaced them with. Even with larger tires this set-up has to be 10-25 pounds lighter per corner. Nothing but positive things to say about this change. Those HRE's are pretty bad ass to look at too if I don't say so myself.

Yah i did notice improved mpg and better straight line acceleration as well. I think it all has to do with the reduced weight at its feet.

Car looks incredible and glad to hear about a better ride, makes it easier to justify the money

I'm confused on this though, your 530 had 35% but you had to pull it off due to the 30% tint law, isn't 30 darker?

edit - just read you have a new inspection on tint and it appears, you need to have 70% of light coming in so 70% tint or pretty much nothing

Put Macht Schnell 5mm spacers on it today, I may take them off, put them on the front and order 10mm for the rear.

no, not at all. I saw a pic like I said on the bimmerpost board and thought it would suit my desires. That's ok, like I said I'll put the 5 mm's on the front and get some 10's for the rear

Now I have to wait until August 7th before the springs can get installed (alignment too). The dealer is booked solid unless it's an emergency or an inspection due. Crap.
