Hey. I have an acura rl 2005 and it seems like the power steering hose needs replacing. Is my only option a genuine acura part or has anyone tried a Honda? I just really don't wanna spend 300 on that part.

Have you check for recall has been performed on your car? I know for fact Honda/Acura has recall PS hose.

 

what is the oem part number? I have PS hose sitting around that I replaced but then realized it did not need replacing (mechanic was not sure, so I got it replaced just in case as part of my PS steering rack replacement). One you get my part number I will check if that part is a match.

 

The part number is 53713-SJA-A71. I checked and no Honda uses this part number.

- It seems you need part #8 shown on the diagram below... what I have is part #11 (sorry)... however, I did replace the same part you are looking for and I am including the link to rockauto.com below.
I paid 186$ for it and it carries lifetime warranty... I do not think you will find it anywhere cheaper than this...
