Um what is this and where does it go?

I just finished replacing the alternator, and I'm putting the AC fan back in. I just now noticed this wire which does not appear to have any obvious home...
help!

looks like some one pulled it out of the harness. look for a white clip/harness

maybe for alternator harness?

there was one harness that was in farther back from the alternator, i think the vtec harness that I pulled out on accident and all i did was stuff it back into the harness as far as i could and called it good. lol

I think I found it at the bottom of the fan, and the AC isn't working anymore... so I'm guessing this is related

join it together as best as you can! making sure the metal contacts touch the other metal contacts in the harness.

Lol you guys are killing me.

For reference, on the odd chance that anyone else removes the A/C fan shroud to pull their alternator and gets as excited as I was, this is what the plug looked like and should look like. I used some super glue to refasten it because that wire is easier to pop than a cheerleader on prom:

Had the same issue when I replaced my radiator last summer.....what the hell is this wire doing here? After hunting around I located the harness and AC back in business.
